Simply put, the pin's center of gravity is somewhere up and to the side, and is backed with just a single pin, so it rotates when you try to wear it. A second pin or a pin with a spacer would have held it in place, and I may take a soldering gun to mine to put one on, but it's not labeled as "some assembly required". Rather disappointing to buy a pin and not be able to wear it.

This is a great pin. It looks exactly like the one from TNG. I saw one of the customer reviews said that the center of gravity was up and to the left. It isn't that way on mine. I can wear it all the time without it tipping over. Shipping time was minimal. My estimated time of delivery was way off. It was 5 days early. I couldn't ask for a better product. I would definitely buy from this seller again.

It's 100% better than the old ones they used to sell from paramount. This is a perfect reproduction. I disagree entirely with the other negative review. The pin that attaches it has come with any of the communicators you can get from the 90's on. I wouldn't expect anything else if you wish to wear it. This is a great quality product!
