I Loved this product but, now with XP, there is the VR coding error that will never let you have your content. All you get is the computer reading the details of the ship. It WAS a great disk, and I've been trying with no luck at all to get it to run on ANY machine with XP. Next step, going to try it on Win 7, but doubt that will work any better. I think the coding for Quicktime has completely changed now and that's where the problem seems to be. The VR or virtual reality tour section is what fails.

This Cd Rom was great it's the next best thing to being on the actual bridges of these 5 ships. The graphics are great and there's so many hidden surprises to keep the most advid Star Trek fan amused for hours!

Excellent VR for the true fan. See the 5 ships as if you were there. Except for the Enterprise refit or Enterprise-A.

I gave this product one star because I was never able to get it to work. I even attempted to run a virtual machine on my Windows XP computer to emulate windows 98 (but was never able to get THAT to work!). There may be solutions out there that I wasn't able to find, but unless you have a Windows 9x computer, you'll probably want to pass on getting this. Other than that, I'm sure it is a quality product.

Edit: In light of the other reviewer's post, I will say *if you can get it to work*, this would be a fantastic product for Star Trek fans. I would certainly buy a product like it if available and have changed the rating to reflect this.
