This is a well made ship, probably better than some of Playmates' earlier ones. Also, it's a fairly big ship - a bit longer than the average playmates ship, but also much wider. The sound effects are solid as well. If you can find it cheap, I recommend it.

The NX-74205, U.S.S. Defiant from Deep Space Nine has got to be the most coolest ship ever. I got mine in today and it works perfectly and looks great. The ship's sounds are Red Alert, Phasers, Pulse Cannons (the box says Photon Torpedoes but they sound more like the ships Pulse Cannons)and Cloaking...Sadly no Warp or Impulse sounds. It also has a stand and a interchangable bottom so you can either play with it or display it. The ship is quite a rare find (even more rare to find one in perfect condition and for the price I payed----totally worth it)so if you can find this ship I say GET IT. You'll just love it...

A really excellent Defiant model,

Playmates made some really excellent models: Deep Space 9, the Enterprise-D, a Romulan warbird, but the Defiant was always my favorite due to just how cool it looked. Heres hoping Corgi might release their long-mooted diecast version.
