While this book of Star Trek comics may appeal to young people, most fans of the genre will not find it attractive. The captions regularly depict the engine nacelles as emitting exhaust and the orders to go faster generally involve the term "rocket." At times, the Enterprise is seen as flying low through the atmosphere of a planet, an act that would turn it into a flaming spectacle.
The dialog is at times atrocious. While some allowances are given for the restrictions of the comics code as it was in 1976, it is still the case that there is room for improvement in the dialog within those guidelines. I found the stories a bit absurd; to me the book was interesting only for historical reasons.
