We've done several murder mystery games and I would have to say that this was the most difficult game we've done to follow. If you are not familiar with the Next Generation series I would not do this game. We are very familiar with the series (Own them all on DVD), and we still found it hard to follow. It is written with a lot of technical jargon which made it difficult for the players unfamiliar with the series. But we still enjoyed dressing up and playing the game. Our game came with a cassette tape which did not play very well either.

"How to Host" games are fun to do and this one is no exception. Instead of a murder to solve, you must solve a mystery which is a theft. Game provides everything you need if you have never played one before. I always copy the invitations, make my own name tags, etc. so I can reuse the game.

I am already a fan of "How to Host a Murder" brand so I knew what to expect and am satisfied. Good product, easy to follow story lines and of course great STNG characters. :)

Only thing that surprised me was the cassette tape...I hadn't seen one of those in 15 years. We had to buy a tape player; maybe the description should specify that. I didn't realize the game was 20 years old (new condition just created 20 years ago).

Thank you!

A decent amount of show knowledge from 7 season run of Next Generation is needed to have fun with this game, and it really helps if a few people playing have done a murder mystery game in the past. But, if you can get these together, it's probably the best mystery games I've ever played. Totally recommended if you're willing to put a little work into making sure everyone playing is a fan.

Without any spoilers, I do want to say that the Star Trek dinner portion of our party was great, but in comparison to other How to Host a Mystery dinners we've done - this one was very poorly written.
