Star Trek The Next Generation Phaser
Item works fine so far.When batteries were used product can be used as a flashlight and the special effects all worked.Satisfied with the product so far. Not using just put in display case with other Star Trek Collection.

A mediocre product at best
I've had one of these phasers for about fifteen years. The light quit working very quickly and it was impossible to remove the old bulb to replace it. The whole thing is a little large and awkward and not as streamlined as the props on the show. If you've just got to have a Next Gen type one phaser toy, though, this one's much better than the later Playmates effort. I...

I've had one of these phasers for about fifteen years. The light quit working very quickly and it was impossible to remove the old bulb to replace it. The whole thing is a little large and awkward and not as streamlined as the props on the show. If you've just got to have a Next Gen type one phaser toy, though, this one's much better than the later Playmates effort. I have huge hands and still can't hold that one properly. Hopefully one of the toymakers that are now producing such great Original Series toys will start producing quality Next Gen toys, too.
