This is the ultimate boardbook for future geeks. David Borgenicht and Quirk Books have created a delightfully fun and imaginative book for children and their Star Trek loving parents. Instead of boring, tedious toddler books that adults tire of quickly, this puts a new spin on a book of opposites. Each page has a full color scene from the original Star Trek television show, with an equally appropriate opposite scene. From "Appear" and "Disappear" to "Calm" and "Surprised" this book will soon become you and your child's favorite book to read together. I hope this clever idea spurns more of the same, branching out into other geeky themes.

What a great treat for the Star Trek fan. Book has opposite pictures from various star trek original TV show. It's well made, colorful and very entertaining.

An instant classic for any Trek fan, and Trek fan to be. Fun images, which play well off of the original episodes and ideas, while teaching children opposites. Though, I feel my wife may like this even more than my little girls do. :)

Some of the pictures are not obvious. They took stills from the show to illustrate the words they have; and some do not fit well. For example: Together and apart. The pictures are very similar; so for a young child it may not make sense.
That being said; the child's parent is a devoted Treky and she LOVES this book! It is honestly more for her purposes than the child. But once he is older he may understand.

I actually got this as an (awesome) gift for a one year old. I couldn't not get it. When the time comes for me to create a baby shower registry, this will be on it. It is exclusively TOS though. That's not really a problem, though I'd like to some TNG or DS9.

For Trekkies will little ones this book is perfect. Heck, it's perfect for Trekkies in general. Short. simple and sweet - like a Trekkie!

I suggest you buy it. I bought it for my grandson but ended up keeping it. He cried when I took it away from him but, hey, welcome to life, kid.

I bought this thinking I would use it in my daycare to have a fun and different way to teach opposites. As a Trek fan I thought it was funny and clever! But the photos are way too scary for little kids. But that is MY fault for not looking for reviews of it!

Bought this book for my super sci-fi loving husband for Father's Day. We have all laughe and enjoyed the pictures and text, but upon coming out of the Amazon packaging the images are already cracking and peeling away!! How disappointing to see!! Our son is 13 years old, and a sci-fi nerd as well, and is enjoying it, but geez, I AM NOT GIVING THIS BOOK as a gift to ANY of our nerdy friends and family who have small children who would be reading this book - it is a board book, so babies and toddlers SHOULD be able to hold and enjoy the book without 1. destroying it on first touch, or 2. perhaps be endangered by it!! Shame on the publishers for making this book a grownup only toy!! Star Trek deserves BETTER!!
