4.0 out of 5 stars Short and Funny Boardbook September 6, 2011
Format:Board book
This is the ultimate boardbook for future geeks. David Borgenicht and Quirk Books have created a delightfully fun and imaginative book for children and their Star Trek loving parents. Instead of boring, tedious toddler books that adults tire of quickly, this puts a new spin on a book of opposites. Each page has a full color scene from the original Star Trek television show, with an equally appropriate opposite scene. From "Appear" and "Disappear" to "Calm" and "Surprised" this book will soon become you and your child's favorite book to read together. I hope this clever idea spurns more of the same, branching out into other geeky themes.

5.0 out of 5 stars Very Entertaining December 19, 2011

What a great treat for the Star Trek fan. Book has opposite pictures from various star trek original TV show. It's well made, colorful and very entertaining.

Are you a fan of the old Star Trek and you want to turn your little reader into one as well? Well, then this is the book to get!

Each pair of facing pages has two pictures, each with a word that are opposite of each other. So, for example, you get appear/disappear, happy/angry, empty/full, and my favorite calm/surprised. And, the brightly colored, full-page pictures complement the words nicely.

OK, I am not entirely sure that this is an altogether serious book - it is after all produced by Quirkbooks and written by the author of the Worst Case Scenario Survival Handbook books. But, it does work as a book you can read with your little reader...and have a great time doing it!

My little reader and I both had a great time with this book, and I simply had to show it to all my friends!
