3.0 out of 5 stars Captain Kirk?, February 23, 2004

Art Asylum produces top quality figures and models, but this one bears only a passing resemblance to Captain James T. Kirk. The body is proportioned wrong, the head is too small and narrow, and the facial features and hair belong to someone else. The company did get the uniform details correct, but I'd be hard-pressed to identify who the figure is supposed to be if asked. It does look a bit like G.I. Joe with the Kung Fu grip.

3.0 out of 5 stars Could be better...., March 1, 2004
= Durability:3.0 out of 5 stars  = Fun:3.0 out of 5 stars  = Educational:1.0 out of 5 stars

This figure of Captain Kirk is really not too much better than those previously made by Playmates Toys [although the scale is larger]. The sculpt is only fair. Articulation is good but they could have done better. Why not give us the extra two cents worth of plastic and give the good captain a phaser and communicator as accessories. When was the last time you saw him use a tri-corder? Major flaw with ALL art asylum trek figures is lack of a peg hole in the foot. These figures do not stand on their own for long which is a BIG disappointment to collectors who display their toys.

5.0 out of 5 stars Kirk is cool, August 11, 2003

I just got these toys and they are really cool! The arms and legs move in all different directions and you can play with them. I like that they have their phasers because they can have play fights. I like how they look because I like these toys and they look like the real characters.
