"The Siege" is a good show, and a good conclusion, December 31, 1999

This review is from: Star Trek - Deep Space Nine, Episode 23: The Siege [VHS] (VHS Tape)
"The Siege" is part 3 of DS9's stellar 3-parter epic. The script (for the most part) gives us a sucsessfull conclusion to the story and gives us some very nice action sequences (accompanied by an incredible musical score from Dennis McCarthy). This focuses on Sisko's attempts to keep the Circle, a group of Bajorian extremeists, from capturing his station. We also see Kira and Dax as they try to warn the Vedek assembly about the true origin of the Circle's weapons and supplies, which is perhaps what makes this 3 parter so excellent. Performances and directing are always top-notch and never falter here, the writing provides great action scenes and more good Bajorian politics. The only thing that holds the show back slightly is the ending, which is somewhat dissapointing. Overall, this is a stellar 3 part story arc, and this show is definatley worth being in your collection.
