This is a pathetic waste of money. The Light Saber comes apart and the only way to get it to stay together is with glue. why this was made in two peices is beyond me. the glue ended up not working either. the droid wont stay together long enough to get blown apart so we ended up gluing it as well. O yeah it does'nt stand up well either. all in all a very poorly desinged...

Mace Windu looks great! The figure is in a great action stance and his face is pretty strinkingly done.

The force action is cool but definitely not something I'll take advantage of other than setting him up in a diorama with the included droid. There are two force effects. One looks like a fireball, the other looks like a claw of sorts. I use the claw one in my display, because it holds the droid very well and helps the droid stand up.

The droid is built to be destroyed basically. It comes apart in three pieces (head, torso, legs) and will definitely fly apart very satisfactorily at the touch of either of the spring loaded force effects.

This DOES make it a bit hard to have the droid stand in a stable fashion. I wound up taking a bit of spirit gum (it's just sticky stuff you could use for posters or something) to join the droid together a bit better so that he wouldn't fall apart every time someone came by my desk. :)

Basically if you're an adult fan you'll love Mace and grumble about the droid.

If you're a kid, you'll love Mace and love smashing the droid to pieces over and over again. :)

This is the best figure from Hasbro's new Deluxe action figure line from Episode 2. Mace stands ready to kick some serious Battle Droid bootay. He comes with his purple electrum lightsaber. The blade is detachable from the metal hilt that is magnetically attracted to his hand using the "Force". Best of all, Mace can shoot "Force" balls out of his wrist at an opponent or knock them back with a pretend shockwave projectile. The included Battle Droid figure is pretty much worthless though. The two halves of the body don't stay together when you try to stand it up. A magnet to secure the body and torso would have been nice and I am surprised Hasbro didn't just recycle one of these figures from their Episode I Theed Hangar playset.

There's absolutely no contest. The Vintage version of Mace Windu absolutely blows this figure out of the water. Check it out here: Star Wars 2011 Vintage Collection Action Figure #35 Mace Windu.

5.0 out of 5 stars Lifelike, February 3, 2009

This is by far the best Mace Windu figure I've seen. The resemblance is uncanny. Some of the Star Wars action figures bear only a vague resemblance to their subjects, which makes this fact all the more compelling. Whoever sculpted this piece was channeling his inner Samuel L. Jackson.

The pose is dramatic, which also puts it a step above some of the other Star Wars figures, who just stand there. The light saber is a work of art and even without the battery the hand would grasp it (though not firmly at least as well as many of the other figures).

This Mace Windu does not have holes in his feet for a stand so it is fortunate that he stands well on his own. His legs do not move much, nor do his arms, but who would want to change this pose?

The force objects bear no resemblance to anything in the movies. No Jedi threw fireballs, for example. These are more for kids, I suppose, or as one reviewer said, props to help position the droid.

This review is from: Star Wars Attack of the Clones Mace Windu with Blast-Apart Battle Droid (Toy)
let me preface this by saying that i am an avid collector of Star Wars figures by simply existing as a child from Lucas' generation, an imagination product of his storytelling. i like to keep up with the new toys so far, and i have been extremely psyched with the lineup to date. as for this action figure duo, after reading many of the (negative) reviews on this toy before i bought it, i decided to get it anyway and experience the thoughtless engineering that went into both of these toys myself. I will add that i, too, was extremely disappointed with both of these action figures. the mace windu is cool, and i like the electrum lightsaber and the force-simulated fireball action, but he is a completely unposable figure. his arms do not move past their fully extended positions as shown in the picture. also, the lightsaber magnetism is not that great and his weapon falls from his hand easily. the battle droid is a complete piece of junk. there is no way to even assemble it...almost like whoever designed it forgot to include the piece that snaps it all together. it is impossible to make it stand up on it's own. so i just put it in pieces on my mock battlefiled to act as carnage. don't waist ten bucks on this figure set...buy the other mace windu figure...even though it has a dumb expression on his face (eyes closed, mouth wide open) anything will be better than this junk! hasbro, what happened on this design!!?!?!?!?

3.0 out of 5 stars not a great toy, May 2, 2002

This review is from: Star Wars Attack of the Clones Mace Windu with Blast-Apart Battle Droid (Toy)
This toy is more of a display toy more than one you should play with. The droid wont stay together and wont stay up. Mace is cool with the force blast and push but his lightsaber doesnt stay in his hand very well. Dont buy this toy unless you intend to JUST put it on display.

4.0 out of 5 stars Pro's and Con's, April 24, 2002

This review is from: Star Wars Attack of the Clones Mace Windu with Blast-Apart Battle Droid (Toy)
Pro's:
1.Mace Windu's force power attack is awesome
2.Two figures are included instead of one
3.Mace Windu can magnetically attract his lightsaber into his hand

Con's:
1.The detail on Mace Windu is horrible
2.The battle droid doesn't always stand up right
3.You have to change between the ball attack and the blue lightning attack

Overall:
This is a fun toy to play with. There is plenty you can do with it and 2 action figures instead of 1 makes it that much more fun. The biggest drawback I can think of is the lack of detail on Mace Windu. Other than that, this would be a great toy to own.

Other Recomendations:
1.Kit Fisto(Jedi Master)
2.Plo Koon(Arena Battle)
3.Nikto(Jedi Knight)
4.Saesee Tiin(Jedi Master)
5.Super Battle Droid
6.Battle Droid(Arena Battle)
7.Shaak Ti(Jedi Master)
8.Obi Wan Kenobi(Force Flip Attack)
9.Jango Fett(Electronic Backpack)
10.Yoda(Jedi Master)

If you are wondering which mace windu to get, get this one. The other one without the droid looks bad. THis one is sick. The mace figure is awesome, really no complaints at all.
The droid on the other hand, is pretty bad. Dont even try to stand him up, cuz its not gonna happen. his legs dont bend at the knees and are so flimsy.
Even though i dont recall Mace Windu ever shooting firballs, they are still very cool and fun...
You know what i want to see? a set with mace and jango fett and mace can chop his head off like in the movie. that would be sick.
As for now, get Mace WIndu and Battle droid, its sick.

nice toy. Mace Windu really shoots like John Wayne and other Han Solos......................except he shoots a fireball.Wham!
He hits that droid flat, in four pieces! I like his nice smile! My Adi Gallia figure really likes him. She thinks he's cute. I use the blue force push sometimes as lightning for Dooku and E.P.(or E.T.?) HA HA HA! BUY IT WHILE IT LASTS!
