4.0 out of 5 stars For the Price it's very Good.
I'm a huge fan of Boba Fett. I was glad to finally see a well done helmet at a good price. The first thing you will notice is this is not movie accurate. The visor is enlarged so that you can see out of it, I guess. Overall the helmet seems pretty big, I can't imagine how funny this would look on a child. The helmet comes split in half and snaps together. I'm not sure if...

3.0 out of 5 stars Electronic...but can't hear!
This is a better addition to the costume of Boba Fett. It's easily assembled and looks pretty cool (or so my 9 yr. old son says, and I have to agree). The downfall is that you can't hear all the phrases and sound effects (and there are a lot). It's electronic, but no one can hear it but maybe the person wearing it. And yes, I've replaced the batteries with new ones...

I'm not sure if mine is missing a piece but one the bottom edges does not snap, looks like something is missing there. There are two small red lights on the antenna top and bottom. The speaker is on the left, and there are two control buttons on the antenna side. Audio seems plenty loud for me, but I didn't buy it for that feature. Batteries are included. The paint job is well done. Inside the mask there is an adjustable head strap and "goggles" that fit around your nose and eyes. The helmet is vented on the back, side and cheek lines. I'm very happy with this helmet since I'm a budget collector.

4.0 out of 5 stars GREAT FOR FETT FANS, September 22, 2010

It's about time they expanded the Star Wars helmets! My son loves all things Boba Fett so when I ran across this one at a reasonable price, I grabbed it. With holidays coming, the prices always fluctuate wildly so I consider the price at under $40 a steal.

You need to click the two halves of this helmet together and place the antenna in a fitted slot. If this helmet is anything like the clone trooper ones, they should last despite rough play. My boys have had the clone trooper helmets for over for 2 years and although they come apart under heavy contact, they easily snap back together. It is not flimsy and another plus is the staying power for play. My boys play with their clone trooper helmets all the time, even after 2 years.

The only possible issues I see are the question of antenna longevity and the lower volume of Boba Fett's recordings. The volume is pretty low especially when compared to Captain Rex or Clone Trooper helmets.

Overall, a great buy for any Star Wars fan. The construction is sturdy and it provides 7 different recordings (albeit at a low volume).

And yes, I've replaced the batteries with new ones several times...no louder than the ones it came with. Maybe I just got a defective one (ordered it online, so have no others to compare to, except my son's clone trooper electronic helmet, which is loud!).

4.0 out of 5 stars Decent Boba Fett helmet, March 14, 2011
= Durability:4.0 out of 5 stars  = Fun:4.0 out of 5 stars  = Educational:3.0 out of 5 stars

My 11-year-old son got this for Christmas, and he loves it. Heck, I think it's pretty awesome too. It's easy to assemble and is solid. I mean, for a toy helmet it's a bit heavy, but that's good. It's a HUGE change from the old hard-rubber Don Post Fett helmet that used to warp and bend if it was under the lights for too long. There is an adjustable headband inside, but if you're an adult, you may as well just take the headband out altogether and put a piece of foam rubber or something at the top for your head. But it's good quality. The visor could stand to be a bit darker, but only because you can see some of the frame from the outside. The photo here makes it look like you can see right through it...it's darker than it appears in the product photo, but not as dark as I would have made it.

If I ever build a Boba Fett costume for a sci-fi convention or anything like that, I'd definitely use this helmet, but with a few minor modifications (darkening the visor, adding some weathering to the finish).

Good quality helmet for costume. It can also serve as a collectible for Star Wars enthusiasts. The helmet is a very good replica of the Boba Fett helmet in Star Wars.

My son had the Captain Rex version of this toy, so we got him this one for Christmas. It is pretty easy to put together, but the "antenna" thing, fall of easily. The volume is very low. But my 7 year old doesn't seem to mind. However, after a week it is now a decorative piece in his room. Matched the Boba Fett costume I purchased on clearance this year, so I know he will be using it next Halloween.

Purchased this for my 4 year-old and even though it has an adjustable head strap inside it's way too big for him. Other than that it's a great toy for any Star Wars geek.

My six year old is a HUGE Star Wars fan, and I was excited to see this replica of Boba Fett's helmet. It did not disappoint, and it is a big hit with my son. It is a bit clunky, and the plastic occassionally needs to be snapped back together at the seam. Overall though it is a good quality product. The fun that my son has with it makes it a five star product for me.

If you like collecting helmets and dont want to spend $$$ on the "real" movie accurate Boba helmet, this thing is for you. Its slightly bigger than the movie one, but it's made by Hasbro and its targeted towards the kids so don't expect the greatest quality. The sounds and phrases are not very loud, and yes you will probably be the only person to hear them, unless you are in a silent room. Outside, the voice can only be heard from about the distance of 10-20 feet. Still a great piece to put on a shelf and look at. For $34.99 you can't regret it EVER. It is a lot of fun, very comfortable straps on the inside (is you adjust them correctly), and a great collectible to have. Get'em while they are here. BOBA rules....after Vader of course.

My son wanted this toy so bad for Christmas, but I have a feeling it's going to get old real fast. There isn't much you can do with it. It has a few sayings, but that's it. He looks like a bobble head when he wears it, which is pretty funny.
