This review is from: Star Wars Max Rebo Band Pairs with Max Rebo and Doda Bodonawieedo Action Figure Set (Toy)
Both Max Rebo and Doda Bodonawieedo are awesomely detaled figures, and Max's bright blue color makes hims stand out even amidst a sea of exotic Star Wars characters. Even the keys on his circular stand-in instrument move! They're not so much action characters but Max is fitted more to action playing than Doda, whose permanently bent arms and somewhat limited posability make him less versatile. That's more than made up for by just how neat and detailed he is. Interesting note: Doda's a Rodian, one of the only alien species that seems to be getting a good number of figures out; most species get just one each. With Rodians, you've got Doda here, more than one version of Greedo (which could be used for seperate characters who just share a resemblance to one another), I believe the female Rodian dancer from Jabba's Palace is available, and perhaps we'll even see Annakin's young Rodian friend from "Phantom Menace" someday? As far as I know he hasn't been released yet. Only drawback with Doda - once you remove the lastics holding the clarinet-like instrument in his hands it's hard to get it back in there. If you're not going to use him for battle you might want to leave the elastics on (of course, even with them on he can still conk adversaries with his instrument, I suppose)
A great set here; especially a must-have for those who love Star Wars as well as music - set 'em up (these guys and the other musicians available) around your CD system and let the Cantina music play in preparation for a Star Wars DVD night!
Recommended for collectors and players alike.
