For my sons Birthday we bought all the kids a lightsaber to fight evil. The product is durable and the kids had a blast playing with them. This is a great price for two lightsabers.

My 4 1/2 year old son really wanted a light saber after first watching Star Wars. So the Easter Bunny brought him these 2 light sabers. They do not have any sound or light effects. You have to slide a button down (which is kinda hard to do for a 4 year old) and whip your arm sideways to make the light portion come out. They are very basic toys, but they look just like a Star Wars light saber, and are really durable when being clanked and hit on another light saber. My son played for hours and hours with his cousins and they stand up to being hit like a real light saber fight. You have to push the "light" back in by hand and there is a spring clip that retains the "light" in the main unit. There is a large clip that you can use to hang your light saber onto your pants so you feel like a Jedi (or the Sheriff for that matter) when it is clipped onto your belt and you are walking along ready for an intergalactic fight. For the money, these are really durable and look cool. My son and his cousins believed that they were the real thing and had numerous battles both being the good then the bad guy. I recommend these ones highly for their durability. 5 STARS!!

Santa delivered this to my five year old son and this has been the biggest hit ever! He loves them! He wants to take them everywhere we go. We took it to the store the other day and a little girl in the store didn't want to give it back to him. We had to chase her down. It has little clips that allow you to hang from your waistband and this is exactly what my son does! My husband, daughter and son have lots of fun having duels with them. What a buy at $[...] for two!!! Boys, girls, moms and dads...everyone loves them!

My 4-year old boy likes it. A little bit too heavy for him but that does not bother him too much. The construction seems to be solid enough. The switch that releases the lock of the "blade" is kind of hard to move, but my son soon learned how to use it. It still often takes him two swings to extend the blade though.

These lightsabers are fun for the same reason that all lightsabers are fun, they make you an instant Jedi Knight.

The "blade" extends by gravity or force. When fully contracted, a small spring clip keeps it that way so that the handle can be hung on a belt or wasteband in true Jedi fashion. Grab the lightsaber, press the button to release the clip, give it a good swing and your ready for action!

For the price, these were a real bargin. Sometimes the spring clip doesn't work so well, and they don't light up or extend automatically, but I would have no expectation from something so inexpensive (besides, no batteries = lighter weight toy). All I asked is that you can run around the house with them and they don't break on first contact. They have delivered.

My kids are enjoying these light sabers very much. It is a good buy. I thought they would be longer, so double check the dimensions. They are average size light sabers...not the long ones.

These light sabers are not bad. They don't light up or anything like that, and they don't automatically extend, but the kids play with them like crazy. If you can get them for around 6 dollars each, then they are worth it. 3 years of age to 8 will think they are cool.
