I think the A-wing fighter should have been part of The Vintage Collection. Since it was not, I looked around for a good version of the A-wing fighter and the one from The Legacy Collection seemed the best. I think it is! The green one displays a huge rebel logo, which has never been shown off on any rebel fighter, at least to my knowledge. The one from The Power of the Force seemed a little cheap... This one looks great! It has retractable landing gear and a cockpit mechanism! The best part of the product is the Green Leader Pilot figure. It has the quality of the figures from The Vintage Collection, and it is a rare figure to find. The details are impressive. The only disappointment comes from the canons: they don't hold in place very well. Hasbro added a 360 rotation feature to it, and it's not their best idea... Get one of these while they are still available!
This is a great update to the POTF2 A-wing. Hasbro repainted it with a richer red, more weathering, and also repainted the gun tips. The best parts though are the cockpit, which has a detailed control panel, and the new pilot, Green Leader. In short, this vehicle looks extremely realistic. Definitely worth getting for fans of the Battle of Endor.

The 2009 Legacy Line of Star Wars toys is by far the highest quality line available. They match and sometimes surpass the coveted Black Series introduced several years later. This A-Wing w/ pilot combo has the better red color scheme (over the Power of the Force version) and comes with a screen accurate bonafide A Wing pilot with a great paint job! Legacy vehicle cockpits also come painted rather than with stickers. If you can still snag this package by the time you read this review and are a collector, it's worth the price tag.
