Flimsy but Fun, November 22, 2008

I got my Boba Fett halloween costume for '08 halloween. I expected what I saw in the image, but instead you get a REAL flimsy costume. I am around 5'7" and the suit was loose. All the parts on the suit can be torn off with force quite easily. The yellow shoulder pads and knee pads are not sewed on well at all, especially the knee pads. The chest plates won't line up to your chest unless you are the right height. The "rocket launchers" on your arms are real crappy. Can be torn really easily.
The best part about this suit is the helmet. It's real legit. It makes the costume. Without it, you have a REAL crappy costume.
Because the helmet is so good, I would recommend it. It's really fun, and I don't think it's too expensive.

This review is from: Star Wars Boba Fett Deluxe Adult Costume (Apparel)
I just got my costume in the mail today for this Halloween. It's... not the greatest. I figured the body suit would be junky based on the other review, but I took heart in hoping that the helmet would be great like it said. It's not. It comes in two halves that velcro together- but the halves are all but flat when you get them. So they smush your nose down and give you the widest, goofiest Boba Fett head imaginable. It's very thing plastic that will clearly snap easily. The paint job is crappy, but the colors are at least true to character. There are ventilation slits by your mouth- so it doesn't fit the movie costume, but will help you breath easier.
The suit is no better. Scratchy polyester and goofy foam parts. The cape gives it nice dimension, but is made from equally crappy material. I am 5'7" and the suit is huge on me. It probably makes a difference that I'm a girl, but I'm not tiny. My hips and chest are 36"- I'm literally swimming in this costume. If you are any smaller than me, don't bother. The sleeves come down over my hands. The back holds together with just a tiny piece of velcro at the back of your neck- leaving a nice gaping hole down the back of the costume. If you are a guy, it will probably fit you all right.
The belt is a weird rubber material that won't lay flat and is too big for my waist- only tiny bits of velcro hold it on and it has really one-dimensional color to it. Lame.
That said, I'm viewing this as a basis. I'll be making some modifications, adding my own paint touches and accessories and playing with trying to re-enforce the helmet. If you are willing to put more money into the costume, then this might work for you. Might. But don't have any high expectations.

Boba Fett Costume, October 6, 2011
Costume is a little overpriced, but pretty close to being accurate. The helmet is not very good because it is two pieces of plastic that connects with Velcro. It is too wide. The costume is not bad. It is not like the accurate ones that cost hundreds of dollars. I would say it is a good product.
