4.0 out of 5 stars For an adult - no, for a kid - YES!
To an adult collector, this toy will likely hold little attraction - I'm a 30-something Dad who still loves toys and thinks a lot of Star Wars toys are cool... and I looked at this thing and went "Blechhh".

3.0 out of 5 stars Not too bad
My son was so excited to get this toy. He bought it with his birthday money. He loved the lava scene but became bored very quickly. There's not a lot of different things to do with it. He still likes it, but I thought it was a little expensive for the amount of time he plays with it. Luckily, it included 2 action figures, so I don't feel so bad!

To an adult collector, this toy will likely hold little attraction - I'm a 30-something Dad who still loves toys and thinks a lot of Star Wars toys are cool... and I looked at this thing and went "Blechhh".

BUT

My little son absolutely loves it, there are many play areas, many little things to do and it takes the mind of a child to really appreciate it.

Blasting lava balls, breakaway catwalks, a flip-over lava pool that your "Star Wars guys" can vanish into, a tunnel under the mountain (just a tunnel can be magnificent fun to a kid, remember?), a spinning platform and two action figures with limited articulation ( a negative for the adult collector but a BIG plus to a little one who gets frustrated with the 'super poseability' of some action figures).

It won't hold the interest of a 30-40 year old huddled in his or his folks' basement - but a 4 year old will be enthralled.

I love this Mustafar Playset from Star Wars Episode 3. It's a perfect toy for young fans, and a perfect display for older fans.

The figures don't look exactly like the characters from the movie. But, it's still exciting to own.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best Playset in the Collection, July 29, 2005

This is my first playset in the playset collection. I enjoyed it as I put it on my shelf and it was very simple to put together. This set does the stuff that most sets do. They do stuff. First, this set launches balls of magma. Then, the catwalk can fall down. You could hang Vader and Obi-Wan and spin them around. Then you send Vader falling into a pit of lava (and the set makes it seem more dramatic). But there are some flaws in this set. First of all, the catwalk can pretty much fall o its own, and Anakin and Obi-Wan can't hang for long. >Bud-Du Bum!< But at least this one does something else. All the other sets just spin action figures in circles. This one is the best in my collection because of all the interesting features put into it. So enjoy it... while you can.

4.0 out of 5 stars A wonderful Playset, July 9, 2005
This review is from: Star Wars E3 MUSTAFAR PLAYSET (Toy)
Well i got this set because i am a casual star wars collector and i thought it would look good on one of my shelves. And i was right. If i was younger though, this would be one of the best toys. It has enough stuff to keep kids occupied, plus including 2 figures helps. They aren't the best 2 figures but at least you would include the 2 main characters of the movie. Overall, the playset looks good on display and does justice to the name playset.
