Anakin walked back and forth. He was waiting for his friend Qui Gon to come out of the Jedi Temple. He was waiting to find out if he could train to be a Jedi.

Anakin thought about his home on Tatooine. He thought about his mother. He missed her.

Anakin stood up. "I can't wait here anymore," he said to himself. "I will just have a look around. I will not go far."

Jar Jar saw Anakin walking away. He did not want his friend to get in trouble. So he followed Anakin.

Anakin walked and walked until the big, shiny buildings hid the sky. Finally, Anakin was ready to turn back. He looked all around, but he could not see the Jedi Temple. But he did see Jar Jar!

"Wesa lost!" said Jar Jar. Anakin was wondering what to do when...BAM! A droid ran right into him!

4.0 out of 5 stars Anakin and Jar Jar help a lost boy., July 28, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Star Wars Episode 1: The Phantom Menace: Anakin to the Rescue (Step into Reading, Step 2) (Paperback)
I am a teacher. I work with children who have learning disabilities. Most of the children I work with have, what the public would call, dystexia. It is very hard to find books with large print that reflect the age group I work with. Fourth and Fifth graders don't like reading books about children much younger than themselves. Most of the books with large pint have stories about seven year old children, or even younger, this discourages and bores the older child. Today, one of my nine year boys read this book with very lettle help, but most important he really liked it and laughed in all the right places. If you have a child who hates to read,( many times this can point out some sort of problem,) try them on an age appropriate large print book. This set is published by Random House and is a great place to start.

4.0 out of 5 stars Pretty good book, February 5, 2001
A Kid's Review
This review is from: Star Wars Episode 1: The Phantom Menace: Anakin to the Rescue (Step into Reading, Step 2) (Paperback)
In this book, Anakin was chasing a droid. They went onto an airbus. But Jar Jar was afraid. The airbus began to leave and Jar Jar falls into the airbus right on top of Anakin. My favorite part is when they are in a trash chute and they see spider-roaches and Jar Jar says,"Heydey ho! Snack for meesa!" There is a lesson in this book and it is alway help others because they were helping a little boy catch his droid. It was pretty easy to read.
