Product Description

Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith, Ubisoft put its Montreal handheld team to task in reproducing situations and scenarios on the handheld systems. Episode III is putting players in the role of either Anakin Skywalker or Obi-Wan Kenobi as they lightsaber-slash their way through more than a dozen levels of droid and clone army-infested areas. It's a hack-and-slash affair, but the development team has put a lot of focus into the characters' unique weapon-handling abilities; both characters feel different because of their different styles of combat.

4.0 out of 5 stars I can't believe I like this, June 7, 2005

This review is from: Star Wars Episode III Revenge of the Sith (Video Game)
One of my most hated things is movie-license video games. I avoid them like the clap. However, there were two extenuating circumstances that caused me to buy this:

1) I love Star Wars, and I love Episode III. When I saw it for the third time, the theater was right next door to Electronics Boutique's flagship store. (at Universal CityWalk) After the movie, we went into EB to look around while I was still high on Ep. III Fever.

2) My DS has been doing nothing but collecting dust over the last few months because there are so few worthwhile games for it so far.

So yeah, I bought this even though I expected it to be a piece of poop. Surprisingly, I've had lots of fun with it. It's an old school side-scrolling beat-em-up, it's extremely repetetive, and it's short. Yet it somehow managed to keep me interested for a number of hours, even beyond completing the game with both characters on Jedi difficulty. I think one major factor is the skill/ability system. I didn't expect there to be so many options in combat for a little game like this. I've noticed a lot of people think the 3D flying levels are the game's one saving grace, but not me. They aren't bad, but they were so incredibly short that they just didn't make any difference to me. I much prefer running around with a lightsaber, chopping up battle droids and cutting down clone troopers, other Jedi, and Nemoidians. Also of note, the sound is surprisingly good. The lightsabers actually sound authentic and deadly.

A previous reviewer said: "Theres no use for the touch screen!"

*bzzzt* Incorrect. You can use the touch screen to activate your super attacks. You just touch the icons, instead of manually using the D-pad and buttons.

5.0 out of 5 stars It's Awsome!!!!!!!!, December 5, 2005
= Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: Star Wars Episode III Revenge of the Sith (Video Game)
This is one of my favorite games. You can go in space ships of all kinds. I realy like Darth Vader's tie fighter (I know his ship sucks, but I've always liked ties). You can also unlock new kinds of ships like the X-wing and Slave 1. Besides those two there are many many more. The misson mode is realy fun also. I like the way how you can use the touch screen to do super moves. There are also many force moves you can use. The best part about the single player is slashing your enimies with your lightsaber and then using force moves to finish them off. If you are a nintendo and star wars fan I reccomend you get this game. And one more thing, PSP sucks. The NINTENDO DAUL SCREEN (or DS) rocks dis house. All the people who said this game is a 4 star or higher are very COOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! DYLAN

You know, star war hand-held games have never been standing out, but this game really isnt too bad. It's a handheld starwars game thats 3d.. just for that reason, i bought it. So ont he way home i was playing it, and i was pretty much stunned by how fun the game was to play... the game is fun, easy to control, and is the best handheld starwars game.. ( even though thats not saying much.. ) its true. buy it for your kid that's a fan of star wars. it'll but a smile on his face for sure.
