One of my most hated things is movie-license video games. I avoid them like the clap. However, there were two extenuating circumstances that caused me to buy this: 1) I love Star Wars, and I love Episode III. When I saw it for the third time, the theater was right next door to Electronics Boutique's flagship store. (at Universal CityWalk) After the movie, we went into EB to look around while I was still high on Ep. III Fever. 2) My DS has been doing nothing but collecting dust over the last few months because there are so few worthwhile games for it so far. So yeah, I bought this even though I expected it to be a piece of poop. Surprisingly, I've had lots of fun with it. It's an old school side-scrolling beat-em-up, it's extremely repetetive, and it's short. Yet it somehow managed to keep me interested for a number of hours, even beyond completing the game with both characters on Jedi difficulty. I think one major factor is the skill/ability system. I didn't expect there to be so many options in combat for a little game like this. I've noticed a lot of people think the 3D flying levels are the game's one saving grace, but not me. They aren't bad, but they were so incredibly short that they just didn't make any difference to me. I much prefer running around with a lightsaber, chopping up battle droids and cutting down clone troopers, other Jedi, and Nemoidians. Also of note, the sound is surprisingly good. The lightsabers actually sound authentic and deadly. A previous reviewer said: "Theres no use for the touch screen!" *bzzzt* Incorrect. You can use the touch screen to activate your super attacks. You just touch the icons, instead of manually using the D-pad and buttons.

This is one of my favorite games. You can go in space ships of all kinds. I realy like Darth Vader's tie fighter (I know his ship sucks, but I've always liked ties). You can also unlock new kinds of ships like the X-wing and Slave 1. Besides those two there are many many more. The misson mode is realy fun also. I like the way how you can use the touch screen to do super moves. There are also many force moves you can use. The best part about the single player is slashing your enimies with your lightsaber and then using force moves to finish them off. If you are a nintendo and star wars fan I reccomend you get this game. And one more thing, PSP sucks. The NINTENDO DAUL SCREEN (or DS) rocks dis house. All the people who said this game is a 4 star or higher are very COOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! DYLAN

You know, star war hand-held games have never been standing out, but this game really isnt too bad. It's a handheld starwars game thats 3d.. just for that reason, i bought it. So ont he way home i was playing it, and i was pretty much stunned by how fun the game was to play... the game is fun, easy to control, and is the best handheld starwars game.. ( even though thats not saying much.. ) its true. buy it for your kid that's a fan of star wars. it'll but a smile on his face for sure.

To anyone that's seen the movie and thinking about buying this game - buy it. If you haven't seen the movie - don't buy it. The only reason you have to see the movie before you buy this game is because the game completely gives away the movie. It's just like watching the movie on your DS. Other than that the game is perfect.
Graphics: Outstanding graphics for a DS game. I've seen some of the other games for DS and their graphics aren't nearly as good as these. Multiplayer mode (the place where you fly ships) looks almost as good as a PSP game, except whan you blow up, then it looks it was from a coloring book. Controls: Very basic, very easy. Sometimes I might try to block a low attack with L down and accidently hit R down and choke him to death, but who cares. Starship controls are complicated, I changed mine the first time I played it. Multiplayer: Awesome, sort of. You can only play multiplayer with starships which is why its only sort of awesome. I've always wanted to duel my friend and show him I'm just as good with a lightsaber as I am with a starship, but that's why we have PS2. My biggest advise is that you see the movie before you buy the game.

The single player mode is an arcade-style type. The faces are more like over exaggerated cartoons than the real faces. It is a 2D plane (right moves the character forward through the "hallway", up moves the charcter to the characters left in the "hallway," etc.) It's best feature is the Multi- Player. it had the classic 3D arcade feel (just like the game in the arcades where u sit in the chair and u have one joystick) u can face off against classic characters and new characters, like luke skywalker, anakin skywalker, han solo, darth vader, and unlock ships such has the x wing, vader's ty fighter, the millenium falcon (o ya, once u unlock those ships, u can use them against ur friends and completly own *Hint* get the millenium falcon. its the best ship. i beat solo with the x wing) if ur friends are getting this, get it for its multiplayer!!

First of all if you are planning on buying this game see the movie 1st because the game gives away the whole movie. This is a very good game. It is just like the movie even most of the dialogue is the same... anyway the game is well worth the price it has great graphics and it has 26 levels on it + special missions. and in the beginning you get to choose from obi-wan or anakin!

The game is really cool!!!!! You can choose from Anakin and Obi-Wan and do four-player multi-battle. You can go in ships. You get four special attacks. One of them is when Anakin shoots lightening out of the ground. You can do a lot more. But the game is very very hard once you get to the tenth level. There are about 26 levels, including space levels. It's a really fun game. It's also cool because you can go in bad guy ships and unlock new ships that aren't even in Episode III like the Millennium Falcon and the X-Wing and much much more.

Old School Action Like You've Never Seen Before,

Remember TMNT, The Simpsons, or X-Men arcade video games? You know, the side-scrolling, almost 3-D, action/adventure games that we spent a lot of money on in the arcades? If you liked those games, you will love this one.
Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith on NDS is a side-scrolling/3-D, action thrill due to innovative lightsaber moves (offensive and defensive); crisp, colorful graphics and sound, and a really cool multiplayer option (3-D). As far as handheld games go, this one is a keeper. On oneplayer mode: play as either Anakin or Obi-Wan through levels that go right along with the plot of Episode III. The lightsaber moves and force skills that you can aquire make this particularly fun and enjoyable for hours. Abandon the 2-D side-scrolling action briefly, and explore interseting 3-D environments as you jump behind the controls of a Jedi-Starfighter. On multiplayer mode: challenge your friends, or the computer, to a 3-D Dogfight using vehicles featured in the Star Wars Saga including Darth Vader's TIE, the Millenium Falcon, Luke's X-Wing, and many more. If handheld multiplayer gaming is your cup of tea don't miss out on this! But what about the playability? Are you really going to like this game or will it frustrate you to no end? If you enjoy the cartoon/comic book style graphics that all the old side-scrolling games displayed then you will be thrilled by the quality of sound and graphics in this Star Wars version. It does take some patience to get used to the fighting style of the game because you cannot walk/run with your character and use your lightsaber at the same time. But, if you're used to side-scrolling games then you know that this is normal. The NDS does have one cool addition to the fighting style: use the touch pad to activate special aquired abilities! On the downside, the music that accompanies the game is not from the Episode III Movie Soundtrack, but rather Episode's I, IV,and V. Still, the music is very appropriate for the situations in the game. As far as difficulty is concerned, the game allows you to choose between two settings at the start: Padawan (easy) and Jedi (medium). Overall, this is a fun game that many audiences will love: Star Wars fans, handheld gaming fans, multiplayer fans (especially if you like team and vs. modes),older kids, adults, and especially old school side-scrolling fans. If you long for the side-scrolling action of yester-year, pick up NDS Revenge of the Sith today!

Good Single-player Game, GREAT Multiplayer!!,

I have played a lot of Star Wars handheld games, but this one is easily the best. I suppose that's not surprising, considering the fact that the DS is easily the best gaming system I've played. I found the single-player missions challenging and fun, and the upgrade system makes replaying old levels worth your while. Here's a category-by-category rating:
-Controls: 4 stars. The control style was easy enough to master, but I was rather disapointed that the touch screen has hardly any function. Basically all it's used for is the menu screens. -Graphics: 4.5 stars. The sigle-player graphics were a little on the cartoony side, but the multiplayer graphics more than make up for that. -Sound: 5 stars. Classic Star Wars music and great sound effects, from lightsabers and blasters to droids and TIE fighters. -Single-player gameplay: 4.5 stars. Challenging, side-scrolling levels that are 3-D to an extent, customizable Force skills and stats, the occasional space mission [which have GameCube-caliber graphics the same as Multiplayer], but not-too-great graphics on the normal and boss levels. -Multiplayer gameplay: 5 stars. You can play against up to three other players, or you can play by yourself against bots. You have a nice selection of ships, plus in Skirmish mode you can unlock more ships by defeating them and their pilots. Ships include four variations on the Jedi Starfighter, Darth Vader's TIE Advance, Slave I, my personal favorite the X-wing, the Milennium Falcon, and many more. Graphics are great, the worlds are fully 3-D, and all in all this mode reminds me of the GameCube Rogue Squadron series. Here's a hint: See the movie before playing this game! The plot basically follows the movie, there being a few minor dialogue and story differences along with the General Grievous lightsaber thing another reviewer mentioned. This game is good, but not good enough to spoil your movie experience for! All in all, this is a very enjoyable game, and a much-needed addition to the DS's lineup. It's the best DS action game so far, and the multiple skill levels make it suitable for just about any gamer, though complete novices may want to consider Mario 64 instead. If you like Star Wars at all, you should definitely get this game[Revenge of the Sith, not Mario 64, though you should check that one out, too, if you haven't already]. I hope this review has helped. May the Force be with you!

wow, when i first got this game i was worried for it, but soon i realized that this has one of the smoothest game types ive ever played. Normally using force powers would take a complex sequence of buttons but it really doesnt and thats what makes this game fun and easy to play
