The best clone troopers yet.,

This review is from: Star Wars Evolutions 3 Pack: Clone Trooper to Stormtrooper (Toy)
UPDATE: I NOW HAVE THIS VERY PACK(the one in the picture) I'd like to say that nothing is different except for the E3CC(see below). This Evolutions 3-pack must have some of the best clone troopers ever made. SWEpisode3 Evolution Figure: Clone Trooper to Stormtrooper(Sandtrooper) comes with three figures, (My version is the pack with all commanders'nothing different from the new pack other than yellow paint') an Episode 2 Clone Commander, an Episode 3 Commander, and a Sandtrooper. First up is the Episode 2 Clone Commander: The E2CC has 22 points of articulation. Hands, knees, elbows, feet, head(ball joint), etc. almost exactly like the superarticulated clone trooper(except no waist movement). He comes with TWO helmets. One which is the regular CC helmet and......A CLONE PILOT helmet. It's like having two figures, all you have to do is switch helmets(both of which I'm pleased to say fit nice and tight). The head that the helmets cover is a perfect replica of a younger Jango Fett. with no paint bleeding at all. The E2CC haas yellow commander markings with little bleeding AND some blaster burns(which are WAY better than past attempts by Hasbro) along with very realistic dirt marks on his boots. Weapons for all figures are covered later. Episode 3 Clone Commander: As you guessed this figure is just like the regular Clone Commander that you can get in stores, same articulation... EXCEPT he comes with a removable helmet AND.....WAIST ARTICULATION(though the waist coat doesn't come off like the red and green CCs). He can now turn to the side! The E3CC has the yellow markings of....I don't know. As we all have figured out, in ROTS the color markings don't apply. He IS a commander but of WHAT, I'm not sure. I've seen reviews that say he's one of Commander Bly's troopers, BUT, THIS IS NOT THE CASE! Yes, it's true. ANYONE WHO SAYS THIS FIGURE IS ONE OF BLY'S MEN IS W R O N G. All of Bly's men have brownish markings on their shoulder armor lke Bly. This CC's shoulder armor has YELLOW markings. Anyway, the E3CC besides the yellow paint job (NO BLEEDING) this figure also has blaster burns(but darker than the E2CC) a superb dirt paint job on his boots that looks real and his gloves are made out of some new material that causes them to look like real leather. The E3CC comes with the two blaster pistols that fit in his holsters(just as well as the red and green CCs)except..there's extra detail on the pistols. They look EXACTLY like mini versions of the ones in ROTS. As I said before this figure comes with a helmet that comes off to show a head sculpt like that of the AT-RT(?) gunner, except the head is ball jointed and is removable. This is good because.....UNLIKE the E2CC the helmet DOES NOT fit snugly on this CC's head. Even if you jam it down as far as it will go some of Jango's chin will show. This is because the shoulder armor is a bit high and prevents the helmet from fully covering the head. However if you have the time, tilting the clone's head back and keeping it back(with some skinny object) as you put the helmet on can solve the problem(although a small bump will appear in the helmet which is something of an eyesore). The best solution is to remove the shoulder armor and THEN put the helmet on. Although the shoulder armor will have to remain off the CC ,the helmet will fit perfectly.{UPDATE: THE E3 SIlver/gray colored CC's WAISTCOAT CAN COME OFF! Unfortunatly I have to take back the "ULTIMATE" part. Just when you think Hasbro has hit one out of the park, you're let down with an anvil strapped to you(501st anyone?). The waistcoast IS removable but instead of making it come off with a peg(like the Red CC and Green CC) Hasbro just cut the side of the waistcoat in half(If you have the first version of this Pack take a scissor, and cut the waistcoat in half anywhere and you'll get the same thing). Same thing with the extra belt. Although the EXTRA belt stays on much better than the waistcoat(which is a shame because it's so cool) it still moves around a little and sucks with the shoulder armor. SO, a too removable waistcoat(if you're in love with it, just glue it together), helmet, great articulation, paint job(blaster marks are even better than the Yellow pack), and extra belt to put on instead of the waistcoat(bet you were wondering why there was an extra belt included) which I recommend. With THIS second version of the E3CC...just turn him into a regular trooper } Sandtrooper: The Sandtrooper has SA (EXCEPT for the waist) and comes with a huge gun and a removable backpack, which when removed will NOT show a huge gaping hole unlike other figures with removable backpacks(or jetpacks). What Hasbro did is hard to describe, you'll have to see it for yourself. The Sandtrooper is painted white(of course) and has um...VERY VERY bad "dirt" marks. Unlike the other troopers the Sandtrooper's "dirt" does not look like dirt it looks like ----. Finally the Evolutions set comes with two extra guns(both fit snugly in ANY of the troopers hands. Prehaps too snugly, they don't move AT ALL once you put them in any of their hands). A clone rifle(can't get enough of those) and a clone blaster rifle, BOTH OF WHICH HAVE THE MOST INCREDIBLE DETAIL OF ANY GUN. It's almost as if Hasbro shrunk the blasters from the movie. Every little crease and nitch is on both blasters, it's incredible. I HIGHLY recommend this set. These figures are among the BEST figures ever made.

We purchased this for our son's 7th birthday and he absolutely loves playing with them. The action figures are made well and are very durable. It's a great add to his collection of Star Wars action figures. I suggest you purchase yours as these will soon be hard to find.

This review is from: Star Wars Evolutions 3 Pack: Clone Trooper to Stormtrooper (Toy)
Fantastic Evolutions Trooper Pack. One Troper is from Attack of the Clones. Removable helmet with additional pilot's helmet. Another Trooper is from Revenge of the Sith. Has removalbe helmet, armor, multi-colored , and comes with three guns; one battle rifle and two side pistols with holsters. The final Trooper is a Sandtrooper from A New Hope. Comes with battle rifle, backpack and armor. Figure is also dirtied with both sand and dirt. My 3 1/2 year old son loves the Sandtrooper. Now, most who purchase these packs are avid collectors and would never even consider letting a kid play with them. But my enjoyment comes from watching them play with them. Also, it is great that my kids love Star Wars just as much as I did when I was a kid when I first saw the original trilogy.
