4.0 out of 5 stars Clone Campaigns is Cool....
I'm content with this expansion pack. The republic are a fun civilization to play especially with the tech 4 upgrades. They added some great new upgrades and research for exisiting armies including power droids. The new Fortress armies caught me off guard at first because of thier sheer destructive power, but i got use to them. Enough bang for the buck to get me back into...

3.0 out of 5 stars Star Wars Galactic Battlegrounds
While Galactic Battlegrounds gets on the right RTS road, it doesn't go the distance. In a nutshell, it feels like an AoE mod more than a stand-alone game. A few improvements to the unit AI and some tweaking of structural hit points and we just might have a solid Star Wars RTS on our hands.

I'm content with this expansion pack. The republic are a fun civilization to play especially with the tech 4 upgrades. They added some great new upgrades and research for exisiting armies including power droids. The new Fortress armies caught me off guard at first because of thier sheer destructive power, but i got use to them. Enough bang for the buck to get me back into playing the game and having fun doing it. The new Star Wars locales are fun to play and entertain. After reading the instruction manual for the game and reading what's been added and changed, it made the game a lot more fun. It's a good expansion for your bucks, if your a fan of Episode 2 as well as the original Galactic Battlegrounds. Just the fact that AT-AT's can now fire at air targets as well as ground targets make it almost worth it alone. Hope to see another expansion with a lot more civilizations. Maybe for Episode 3 ??? Like Starcraft - Brood War i have yet to go back to playing the original game, this is much more fun.

5.0 out of 5 stars Clone Campaigns: One of the most worthy expansions ever., May 23, 2002

I have many reasons to give this a good rating, because it left me with no doubt in my mind about what I thought of it. I just recently seen Episode 2, and after I saw it, I wanted a game related to it. Since all Star Wars Episode 2 games weren't due out for a few months, I settled for Galactic Battlegrounds and Clone Campaigns. I was on a macho powertrip about how cool it would be to control the Clone troopers in real-time tactics after the bad-to-the-bone performance they gave in the movie. I played it and realized that to control your team, you actually have to think as if you were one of them, you could not just run in and take out every enemy, you had to think. It gives you 14 new levels, 2 new civilazations... The Republic and the Confederacy with new upgrades and buildings. It is chock full of Episode 2 content from the Clones to appearances by Obi-Wan and Jango-Fett plus Vehicles such as the Jedi Starfighter and the Slave 1. This is one of the only expansions this side of Diablo 2 where you get the most bang for your buck.

5.0 out of 5 stars Astonishing!, June 5, 2002

If you liked any of the Age of Empires games, you will absoulutely love Star Wars: Galactic Battlegrounds and this awesome expansion pack! Tons of fun to play, especially online at [URL]. Many new features/units added from the original, which was already a whole lot different from the Original AOE series. It's everything good about the game turned futuristic, with the theme of Star Wars twisted in! Whether you build an amazing fleet of ships, toops, mechs, heavy destruction weapons, air combat unites, or what have you, there are so many different options and ways to have fun with this game! Will provide endless hours of fun and enjoyment offline or online, I guarentee it! Must-have for any Star Wars fan, action/strategy game enthusiast, AOE fan, or any old regular person that likes computer games! I am not a huge gamer but I am really into this game! Get it, you won't regret your decision!

5.0 out of 5 stars One of the Greatest RTS games: Revisited, April 8, 2002
This review is from: Star Wars Galactic Battlegrounds: Clone Campaigns (Expansion Pack) (CD-ROM)
Galactic Battlegrounds was a perfect blend: Star Wars and Age of Empires. It proved to be a game with tons of options and replayability. Now this expansion pack addresses every problem and missing part of the original game. There are some main attractions with this x-pack, mainly the Episode 2 heroes, civilizations, and campaigns. But current features are not left alone, each civ gets more units, bonuses, and is carefully outlined to be more different than it was in the original game.
With more units for the scenario editor and a few surprises LucasArts hasn't revealed yet, this x-pack promises to give a great game, a lot more than that it all ready has.

I thought that this was a pretty cool expansion pack for an already cool game. You get 2 more campaigns covering 14 total missions. With more units, buildings, and upgrades available, this game is getting better and better. A few of the campaigns are pretty tough, especially getting started which makes for some pretty long battles. The only real bad thing about this game and the expansion is how weak the air units are. If you have a couple of anit air turretts built, you can take out 8 or 10 air units pretty easy without losing a turrett. And for the expense of building air units, it just isn't worth it. Other than that, this is a very solid game with good graphics and some pretty awesome battles. I recommend this all RTS fans. To me, this is the best computer game based on Star Wars.

A Kid's Review
= Fun:4.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: Star Wars Galactic Battlegrounds: Clone Campaigns (Expansion Pack) (CD-ROM)
What I really like about this game is that, it doesn't only give the choice of playing campaigns from the actual movies, it also includes campaigns that happen after episode 6. The graphics are some what exceptional, and it is way better than the first version of StarWars Galactic Battlegrounds. I mean, COME ON!!!, sure the first version was cool, but you didn't have the two new civilizations, the Republic and the Confederacy, and you had a limited amount of upgrades.

The multi player is O.K., but it doesn't actually pause and the real time goes faster than you want it to.

Creating your own scenario is exciting to. But figuring out how the triggers work takes a lot of practice and skill. The really cool part about scenario editing is that you can have as many units as you want out on the battle field.

You can also decide your settings and difficulty level on a standard game. On a standard game you can choose from one of eight civilizations, build your army, and defeat your enemies!

Overall, this game rocks!, and I give it 5 Stars!!!!!!!!!!!!

This game is just like what it says it is, the game itself plays off of the age of empires 2 engine, but with Star Wars. There are some good cheats along with this also that can get you an imperial star destroyer and the death star.

Wow, I love this game, I have Bought similar games that give you access to Designing your own Scenarios, but this expansion pack Is my favorite to date.
You have Access to Just about everything in the Starwars Universe! I grew up with Starwars And Being able to put these Characters in Endless Situations of your Likeing is Just incredible.
Did you Know that you can Garrison your troops in Allied Buildings and Vehicles, or that typing simonsays or that's no moon unlocks secret characters, one of which is the Death Star, it eliminates an entire Section of the Visable Screen, no tree, rock or enemy left standing.
If I am having a bad day, I wipe out a field of Angry charging Gungans with my superior Military.
stress relief excelsior.
If you like starcraft...you will be launched into hyperspace with Galactic Battlegrounds:Clone campaigns.
