4.0 out of 5 stars So much fun!
While these are not durable toys, ours works very well. Even my husband was impressed with how well it flies. So far, only my husband has flown it, because our kids are too young. They love watching it fly around the living room. I was hesitant to purchase this, but I'm very impressed with this toy.

1.0 out of 5 stars Don't buy it!
Normally I check reviews before I buy things but my son saw it (and now I know why it was on clearence) and I knew I had to get it for him. I bought this for my six year old. It had a couple of great flights on Christmas day but never worked again. We charge it over night. It turns on but once it gets up (about an inch off the ground), it comes back down and won't turn...

It had a couple of great flights on Christmas day but never worked again. We charge it over night. I hope they accept it with no package!

The aircraft broke on it's first flight. Operated by and adult. A mild landing proved too much for the plastic rotor and it snapped. The toy was instantly rendered useless. I assume the toy has an issue with the type of plastic the manufacturer chose to use for parts. Substandard for sure - and we totally understand how delicate these toys are - it was just absurd how quickly it failed. Again, without hesitation - avoid this toy.

I bought 2 of these for my sons for Christmas (11 and 8). It's been less than 24 hours since the toy came out of the box, and on one of them the propeller broke in half so it will no longer fly, it just hovers about 2 inches off of the ground. On the second toy the plastic frame around the propeller is already cracked, so I expect it will be breaking soon as well. For 24 hours, it was as a hit, now I expect in a few days it will end up in the trash.

We purchase this for my daughter. I thought I was buying a quality name brand toy. But it was a BIG disappointment. It only would hover momentarily before it would spin out of control and crash. I think it is under powered , materials are too heavy for the power supplied. So I am returning it.

We didn't even have the pleasure of breaking ours - it won't even lift off for its maiden flight. It simply whirs and tips over. Even if it had lifted off, the deign is such that the rotors easily get jammed inside the bizarre frame constructed around them, and this would obviously lead to breakage. In short, total garbage, don't buy.

As soon as I saw this toy, I knew that it was perfect for my nephew, who loves Star Wars and has a wonderful collection that he keeps safe in his room, up high, where his younger brothers cannot get to it. Unfortunately, Christmas was at Grandma's house this year so every cousin had to have a turn. It was definitely the most popular toy that was unwrapped, but it did not last very long in little hands. One of the propellers on top snapped in half, which caused the starfighter to just hover a little bit off the ground. If you throw it up in the air, it will stay up for a little bit and then gradually sink down very slowly. We used tape, we used superglue, we tried everything we could to keep the propeller together, but we could not. We keep repairing it and using it, but it would have been nice to have an option to purchase a replacement propeller or to have a warning on the box.

To clarify, I purchased this toy for my 12-year-old nephew and he had no problem flying the toy - but you do have to be careful about running into things! - but the children younger than him managed to break it in about 5 minutes. The body of the toy is made from a lightweight, painted styrofoam so it is not necessarily something you would want to put out on display. I purchased this toy on sale here on Amazon and got it at a very good price so I do not feel that it was a waste, but I did feel bad that my nephew's toy didn't even make it through one day.

We charged this with brand new batteries, it had one great flight -- and that was it. While the motor whirred and the blades turned, after that first flight, it wouldn't lift off, but instead just fell over. Major disappointment -- I'm sending it back.

Grandma bought two of these for the grandchildren and they are definitely the hit this Christmas. All the kids (ages 7-9) are able to fly them with ease. Some of the kids can control them quite well and fly between the rooms. They've crashed many times and have even been batted from the sky by the younger cousins -- all without any breakage so far.

Do not buy this product. The toy worked for a half an hour before breaking. This was not an aberration either, as we had bought another one of a different model having thew same result. Nephew had the same problem also. Bad product!
