I bought these to be part of a Jedi Training Academy for my son's 5th Birthday party. As soon as I passed them out, the kids only wanted to do the Jedi Training, and none of the other activities I planned (which was fine). They had a lot of fun imagining they were fighting "bad guys" and going through the obstacle course I laid out for them. This is a GREAT party toy, not at all educational, but lots of fun.

I bought 10 of these light sabers to use for a wedding. My future BIL is in the Marine Corps but didn't have enough rank or friends to get the "guard" to do the swords announcing their marriage.Since both he and my sister are Star Wars fans we used these instead. The lit up well and the added bonus was that the children at the wedding could use them later. All the guests thought it was great idea! I would definitely recommend these for a party.

These sabers inflate and are ready for battle. They glow red when held just the right way. I bought two sabers, one glows brightly, the other hardly glows at all. The sabers are soft like an inflatable beach ball and make for fun sword fights. The sabers don't have any sound FX, you must make your own noise.

I purchased these for my 2 and 3 year old sons and they made excellent additions to the 3-yr old's costume but we've already gone through three of them in 8 weeks. I resisted purchasing the plastic ones as they are too young to be playing with them. I thought this would be a good fit for age and use. The lights and price are good, but they seem to develop microscopic holes after some whacking around. Overall - they loved them, but I won't buy any more.

I put these in a party favor bag for my son's 5th birthday party. The kids loved them. My son still has his and plays with it constantly. It has held up to some very hard fought battles. I would recommend this item for any Star Wars fan. I couldn't give high marks for educational value, because there isn't any, except maybe learning to listen to mom and dad when being told enough is enough :).

I got two of these so that my 3-year-old could attack his older sister without injury. The great thing about it is that the light turns on just by grasping the hilt in a natural way. This meant that both of my kids could turn on the lightsaber with fuss. One of them did develop a slow leak soon after we got it, but I can't say for certain that it had anything to do with manufacturing. It had been stepped on several times by that point, too. The other one is still going strong months later.

You would never think that an inflatable lightsaber would actually be bright, but let me tell you, it really glows bright bright red in the dark. I am pleasantly surprise and my kids still play with it even after Halloween.

Very bad quality product. I got two and one came with a small hole so would not hold air and the second broke shortly thereafter. Total waste of money.

It may not have much educational value, outside of figuring out how hard you can hit your brother before your mom takes it away, but being inflatable, it doesn't do much damage and kids from 3 to 10 had a blast playing with them. We blew up balloons for my son's 5th birthday and had pairs of kids work at balancing the balloon between their two light sabers, racing other pairs to the finish line. The kids had a blast and proceeded with some large epic battles after the game. They stood up to some pretty exuberant play. Out of 10 bought, all made it out of the party. A few days later and a number of battles later, my 3 year old and 5 year old are still playing with them and standing on them and whacking them on the floor. I'm amazed the things still light up. A great treat bag item.
