Manufacturer's Description

In the tradition of the multi-award-winning Star Wars: Jedi Knight, Star Wars: Jedi Knight II, Jedi Outcast features rebel agent Kyle Katarn in exhilarating first-person action. Several years have passed since Kyle avenged his father's death and saved the Valley of the Jedi from Jerec and his band of Dark Jedi. Allowing his Force powers to languish for fear of falling to the dark side, Kyle entrusted his lightsaber to Luke Skywalker, vowing never to use it again. But when a new and menacing threat to the galaxy emerges, Kyle knows he must reclaim his past in order to save his future.

Players assume the role of Kyle as they employ a unique mix of weapons, Force powers, and the lightsaber in both single- and multiplayer modes. Jedi Outcast features expanded and enhanced use of the lightsaber, with new attack and defense moves. Tap into the powers of the Force, including jump, push, and Jedi mind tricks. Employ combat or stealth, depending on the situation. When a fight is necessary, be at the ready with an arsenal of weapons: stun baton, Bryar blast pistol, and blaster rifle to name but a few.

Explore breathtaking Star Wars locales such as Cloud City, the Jedi Academy on Yavin 4, Nar Shaddaa, the smugglers' moon--plus some never-before-seen locations. Multiplayer options include capture the flag, free for all, team FFA, duel, weapons only, and Jedi master.

4.0 out of 5 stars Action Packed!!!, April 28, 2004
By A Customer
This review is from: Star Wars Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast (Video Game)
My computer was to slow to play it. So I had to wait till it came out on Xbox. I had high hopes for this game and it did not let me down. The first two levels were kinda dull for me because I wanted to use a lightsaber. But after the first two levels it was granted and the game shined differently in my eyes. The gameplay after that point was action packed and I can say I never thought to brandish a gun ever again. From your first lightsaber dual up to the secret stage of the game, I have enjoyed the gameplay experience. I even find myself returning to the jedi action once and a while to slaughter stormtroopers and take in some of the big environments. If it wasn't for certain levels were I was constantly plummeting to my death I would have gave it five stars. I'm not a big Star Wars freak but just buy this game if you like the movies, it won't let you down.

4.0 out of 5 stars Star Wars Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast, October 19, 2002
This review is from: Star Wars Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast (Video Game)
One of the most exciting Jedi games from LucasArts, Star Wars Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast is an awesome addition to the ever-growing X-Box selections in entertainment. STAR WARS lends itself amazingly well to games in any form (PS2, GBA, PC and XBOX) with a myriad of exciting adventures, including JEDI STARFIGHTER and the GBA Ep.2 game. JEDI OUTCAST is my favourite of all the STAR WARS games, with good graphics, top-notch sound and inventive levels for enthusiasts who want more action! And there's something really awesome about slicing through stormtroopers with a lightsaber! I've played both the PC version and the X Box, and this one wins easliy. The graphics and controls are much better. The cheat codes are easy to find (Some really cool stuff- my favourite is the force lightning) and the title Jedi, Kyle Katarn, is realistic, with graphics and picture quality far above JEDI KNIGHT I. For STAR WARS game addicts and fans, this is the best. May the force be with you!
GRAPHICS: 9/10
SOUND: 10/10
FUN FACTOR: 10/10

4.0 out of 5 stars The Ultimate Star Wars Game!, October 27, 2003

This review is from: Star Wars Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast (Video Game)
Early on in the game you use a pistol and rifle and take down some stormtroopers for the New Republic as you explore their base, with no force powers. But events make a turn for the worse and you go to Luke and request for your lightsaber back. Then you begin to discover force powers as you search out the dark Jedi/killer of your girlfriend for the rest of the game. With amazing graphics and increddible duels, this game is simply magnificent. Plus the multiplayer is awesome (especially when you play CTF and give the other team a boat load of Storm Troopers you and your friend being rebels with one bot helping you against twenty or so Stormtroopers makes the game a game you'll never want to trade in! Plus the duels are fun to play again and again. I would have five stars but the game does have two or three puzzles that are quite difficult. All in all a great game that any StarWars fan must own, any shooter fan really has to have, and if you like both, oooh you need it really bad!
