Action Packed!!!,
By A Customer
This review is from: Star Wars Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast (Video Game)
My computer was to slow to play it. So I had to wait till it came out on Xbox. I had high hopes for this game and it did not let me down. The first two levels were kinda dull for me because I wanted to use a lightsaber. But after the first two levels it was granted and the game shined differently in my eyes. The gameplay after that point was action packed and I can say I never thought to brandish a gun ever again. From your first lightsaber dual up to the secret stage of the game, I have enjoyed the gameplay experience. I even find myself returning to the jedi action once and a while to slaughter stormtroopers and take in some of the big environments. If it wasn't for certain levels were I was constantly plummeting to my death I would have gave it five stars. I'm not a big Star Wars freak but just buy this game if you like the movies, it won't let you down.

Star Wars Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast,

One of the most exciting Jedi games from LucasArts, Star Wars Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast is an awesome addition to the ever-growing X-Box selections in entertainment. STAR WARS lends itself amazingly well to games in any form (PS2, GBA, PC and XBOX) with a myriad of exciting adventures, including JEDI STARFIGHTER and the GBA Ep.2 game. JEDI OUTCAST is my favourite of all the STAR WARS games, with good graphics, top-notch sound and inventive levels for enthusiasts who want more action! And there's something really awesome about slicing through stormtroopers with a lightsaber! I've played both the PC version and the X Box, and this one wins easliy. The graphics and controls are much better. The cheat codes are easy to find (Some really cool stuff- my favourite is the force lightning) and the title Jedi, Kyle Katarn, is realistic, with graphics and picture quality far above JEDI KNIGHT I. For STAR WARS game addicts and fans, this is the best. May the force be with you! GRAPHICS: 9/10 SOUND: 10/10 FUN FACTOR: 10/10

The Ultimate Star Wars Game!,

Early on in the game you use a pistol and rifle and take down some stormtroopers for the New Republic as you explore their base, with no force powers. But events make a turn for the worse and you go to Luke and request for your lightsaber back. Then you begin to discover force powers as you search out the dark Jedi/killer of your girlfriend for the rest of the game. With amazing graphics and increddible duels, this game is simply magnificent. Plus the multiplayer is awesome (especially when you play CTF and give the other team a boat load of Storm Troopers you and your friend being rebels with one bot helping you against twenty or so Stormtroopers makes the game a game you'll never want to trade in! Plus the duels are fun to play again and again. I would have five stars but the game does have two or three puzzles that are quite difficult. All in all a great game that any StarWars fan must own, any shooter fan really has to have, and if you like both, oooh you need it really bad!

Fantastic Mulit-player/TERRIBLE Single-player,

This review is from: Star Wars Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast (Video Game)
I think this game needs a few more unbiased reviews because it certainly has its flaws. While the graphics and sound are okay for the most part, the quality of the cutscenes is abysmal. I found the single-player game to be extremely frustrating. The most annoying issue is that, while you would like to play as a Jedi and roll in with your lightsabre and put the hurt on, the damage model of enemy weapons and the level design too often leave you battling for inches. Likewise, puzzle solutions didn't seem to be intuitive or natural. To top it off, the menuing is bad so trying to save your game quickly between attempts is annoyingly complex. That said, the multiplayer is FANTASTIC. It's amazingly satisfying to go head-to-head in a fully realized Jedi duel. It's a shame that it's limited to two players. So, if you do a lot of multi-player gaming pick this up for sure. Otherwise, I'd recommend you rent it to check it out beforehand and plan to consult a walkthrough frequently.

A Great Experience in the Star Wars Universe,
By
This review is from: Star Wars Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast (Video Game)
Let me tell you young skywalkers, this game is a great edition to your first-person shooter collection. Not only is it a great first-person shooter, it's a great Star Wars game. This game reminds me of, oh, Star Wars: Shadows of the Empire for N64. Yep, it's that good. In the introduction levels, we are forced only to eliminate our enemy(Stormtroopers)with laser blasters and batons, after that you can harness the Jedi weapon, the lightsaber. The lightsaber effects are great for the x-box, they react to all action taken. The story line is classic, a mercenary(Kyle Katarn)is tricked into thinking his girlfriend/parnter(Jan Ors)is dead and turns to the Vally of the Jedi to use the force to stop a villian named Desann. Luke Skywalker makes an impact in the game and Lando is a big help. The game will take you back to the classic trilogy thinking all this new Star Wars stuff is a computerized joke. Enjoy this rare, great game.

This game rocks. You start off as a Rebel infiltrating Imperial bases. You don't your lightsaber or the Force at first but don't worry you'll get them later.Once you get the lightsaber and force powers and fight another Jedi, you'll get addicted. This game is extremely difficult unless you hve the proper cheat codes[Which i do]This game also has a cool arsenal of weapons like the E-11 blaster rifle and a disintergrater gun.The multi player is also cool. Different games like Free for all, Duel, and capture the flag. The games puzzles are really hard at times but don't give up. The final fight is worth it.[I'm really 13]

I had this game on the PC (decent) and looked forward to the XBox version to utilize my HDTV set and moderately elaborate home theater. This game is disappointing. Obviously I enjoy SW and the like, but this game is missing a lot of polish.

why oh why do people write reviews for games that haven't been released? first off i suppose i should let everyone know that any reviews written about this game before nov. 21 2002 should be ignored for the most part. one example of where this is true, the reviewer "lik way chan" said that the xbox version would have no dismemberment, i assure you it does. so don't base a review of a game on something you heard. anyway on with the review. this is indeed one of the best star wars games i've played. the controlling is different from Obi Wan (which i look at now and wonder...why?) the saber control is different too, but i liked the saber control in obi wan. the force powers are great (push pull jump speed grip lightning and heal) though its a pain to have to cycle through them. graphics are amazing, the storyline is great. though it seems you wait too long before you get your saber and force powers, so stick with it! the multiplayer is great too, lots of other force powers offered, ie force drain, force seeing and force rage. so apart from a few minor flaws, this game is flat out awesome, even if your not a star wars fan, this is still a great game.

I first got this game about 2 years ago for computer. Back then, I had a really slow computer, and it didn't work right. I was so mad that I had wasted 40 dollars on it. It went on the shelf and waited there for 2 years. Now I have a better computer and play it all the time. The earlier reviewer said that the game was extremely difficult, not so. The guy must have obviously been a moron, and not been able to figure out the puzzles, because the game has an average difficulty, and if he wants it easier, he can play on Padawan. Anyway, the game is basically a first person shooter based game, where you go around blasting storm troopers, probe droids, and more. I suggest getting this game because I really enjoy playing it, and I want to get it for XBOX too.
