My son being the family munitions expert, I have a whole lot of play fighting to do. In the course of my battles, I have found only one (count 'em--one) nicley (nay--almost evenly) weighted sword: the Obi-Wan lightsaber.

Unfortunately, my son, also often being the family "good guy," I have to do a whole lot of fighting with the crappily weighted Darth Tyrannus and Darth Vader blades (not that I can't kick a little Jedi butt mind you--even with poor swords).

But in my hours of hollow bad-guy dominance, I miss the feel of the Obi-Wan sword in my hand.

This is a good, solid play sword.

I give it my full recommendation.

This lightsaber is not for you if you like to have hard-fought play battles. It will bend easily if you fight with it. If you want a durable fighting lightsaber, get the normal ones.

Awesome!! I purchased a Luke Skywalker Ep. VI Electronic Lightsaber, (not this one exactly) but my friend has this model and once I got into dueling with him I couldn't stop! He was a party pooper though because I beat him every time and he didn't want to lose anymore and I also creamed his little brother! (that was easy) I gave this a 5-star educational rating because it taught me 2 things:

1. How to use the Force and become a true Jedi Master of the plastic and C batteries.

2. How to give my friends a whooping when they agrivate me!

i just bought the mace windu purple lightsaber today and it is huge. the stick is a little too long but its ok to me. though i have not yet fought with it yet, the other reviews said that they bend easily, so im not sure. but overall, i think that this is a satisfactory toy. another note, the instructions said to replace the light bulb, but i havn't yet, so the problem is that whenever it lights up you have to turn it at a certain angle to see its real color. but ill just wait till tthen.
