Agreement with other reviews; the toy is great, my sons and I are having a lot of fun with the two I ordered. The price (initially) was great, but add the fact that they shipped the two of them separately (so they charged me twice the shipping) and just slapped a label on the box, and the transaction is not so great.

Glad I wasn't wanting this as a gift-giver (boxes were both smashed; luckily, the toys are fine) or a collector (though I don't believe that a toy is more valuable if never played with).

Amazon needs to come down on TRU about this; it's inexcusable.

We've seen this ship before, first in the Saga collection and then repainted with black highlights and repackaged in "Clone Wars" packaging. The ROTS Gunship is essentially the same ship, repainted yet again, this time with yellow highlights. I was disappointed that the Gunpods were not included yet again, but other than that...it's nice to have another version of this ship available (they make a nice fleet when you line them up together).

Still has all the same features of previous Gunships. Footstands for your clone troopers, opening pilot canopy, missles that fire, and of course a little line that you can attach a trooper or another figure to. It's an impressive ship and definitely one of the biggest pieces in my collection.

I'd give this more stars if they'd go back next time and add the Gunpods to put the clone troopers into on the sides of the ship like in the movies. I've seen people do great custom versions, and I don't understand why Hasbro can't follow their lead.

The Saga Clone Pilot gunpods will still hook onto this ship, but it's just not the same as the movie version. That's the only feature this ship lacks.

I found my gunship at a toysrus store by luck. It was the only one left to. If you find one then not get it you are never going to see it agian. This is the rarest ep 3 toy ever. Anyways the toy is so cool. Its huge and fun to play with. This is such a good deal for the money. The toy is well bilt id does not fall apart or anything. Cool paint job and every thing about this toy is great. Buy it if you can find it.

This is the best Star Wars ship I have ever owned.With 12 bombs and 4 firing missles it is really cool!!!!You can put 2 clone pilots in the cokpit.And platform you can take out for clones.I got mine at the MGM star wars ride. I have never seen one anywhere but there!! They are rare so keep an eye out.

I was in shock when my Republic Gunship arrived without being packed in a second box to protect it. Amazon put the shipping label right on the box of the ship. It was not even packed in another box to protect it. If you want the actual box to be in good condition don't buy it from Amazon. My box was destroyed and had holes poked in it. I don't know what is going on here but if you plan to open box and don't care about the packaging being in good shape get it at Amazon. I had heard horror stories about other peoples packaging experiences but never thought it would happen to me. Oddly enough my Arc 170 fighter was packed in another box very carefully and the shipping was the same for both.

I didn't buy this from Toysrus so I didn't have in problems with shipping. The gunship is very detailed, it even has blaster marks that make it look like it's been through some battles. There are four different kinds of rockets/firing projectiles 16 all together. There is also a grappling hook thing on the back of the ship. The only bad thing is that it seems only clone action figures can fit inside the ship. My Chewbacca,Darth Vadar,and Super Battle Droid action figures did not fit in the cockpit . It does make sense though because it is really only used by the clones in the movies. It is still a great toy!

I admit I was excited when I finally found a Republic Gunship, and assembly was easy. Honestly, the most difficult parts are fitting the bombs on the inside of the hull doors, and putting each sticker in its proper place (some stickers are very small). Total assembly time took less than half an hour.

Although there are a few delicate parts to the Gunship- namely, the chin-mounted guns and the tail gun, this toy does not have the "cheap" feel of other plastic toys. Parents should know that the Gunship has 2 rocket launchers on top that shoot red plastic missiles about 6 inches long. However, there is very little force behind the spring-action of the missiles, though I still wouldn't want them hitting me in the eyes.

This toy is larger than expected, with a wing span of about 2 feet, a fuselage almost equal to the wing span, and standing about 9 inches high. The weight (empty) is 3-4 pounds.

My only suggestions or comments are similar to what I've read: make the "bubble" cannons on the wings large enough for a special Clone Trooper action figure (or picture one inside), and make the drop platform fit the Gunship more securely. A battery powered set of laser canons, such as with the Snow Speeder from "The Empire Strikes Back" would also be a nice touch.

I like one of the other reviewers was lucky enough to find mine at a local Toys R Us. It was one of the only ones, and since the purchase I have not see ANY others in stock in the Bay Area. I loved mine I customized it with new paint, and accessories.

However, with the release of the "Close Wars" version (which looks awesome) I would recommend you get it, and quickly! Its by far one of the best SW ships out there!

If you're looking to display this gunship, you'll need a bigger display cabinet. Or like me, you'll need to remove the wings. This Gunship is huge, but it sure is cool looking. Haven't got round removing my clone troopers to display it yet.
Buy it and send the troopers in.

I ordered the battleship from Amazon Toys R Us and received the package in very bad shape from the KY distributor. The package came in a plastic bag with no bubble wrap and no self contained box. They even used FED X which is one of the worst companies to use to ship anything!!! Please be warned don't buy anything from Amazon Toys. I lost money on shipping because it and you will too!
