Wow, what a blast from the past! I'm a 33 year old fan of the orignal Star Wars saga. I am glad they are re-releasing the classic figures. I wish I still had all of mine orginal ones in mint condition, but that is another story. :-)

Darth Vader (and the other figures as well) has gone through a make over and is now more detailed than the original. This alone makes it worth the ten bucks Amazon is asking. Relive your childhood a little or better yet, get it for your kids and they will enjoy hours of imaginative play with it. I know I did.

The second set of deluxe figures to Hasbro's "Star Wars Original Trilogy Collection" is made up of four characters from "The Empire Strikes Back". The first is the Dark Lord daddy himself, Darth Vader.

This new figure of Vader comes equipped with his cloth black cape and his red lightsabre. The sculpt is classic Darth Vader all the way.

The front of the new figure card is from the "Empire Strikes Back" lineup from 1980 (back then,it was actually a revamp of the "Star Wars" card with the new "Empire" graphics). The back of the new card is different from the old, with a brief "Star Wars" nostalgia blurb and a checklist of the other three figures from the "Empire" line (Lando Calrisian, Yoda, & C-3PO) as well as the other two sets from "Star Wars" & "Return Of The Jedi".

The Darth Vader figure is cased, like the first four figures from the "Star Wars" set, in a plastic star style keepcase with the clear "Star Wars" logo in raised lettering on the back.

These figures are more detailed than the regular figures and if your a "Star Wars" you would be foolish not to pick these up.
