5.0 out of 5 stars General Grievous
This action figure is FANtastic. He has 6 points of articulation and comes with 1 lightsaber and a blaster pistol. The General is very detailed and looks totaly intimidating. His cape does NOT stay on very well but the cool mandalorian symbol on the cape makes up for that small problem. Anyway this figure is a must have, but save up your money cause if you go to...

I ordered this toy through the internet and I was so ecxited. But, when I got it I was so D-I-S-A-P-O-I-N-T-E-D-! First of all the cape falls of. The arm's plastic breaks real easy. The lightsabers blade(blue part) just comes of, but thats cool beacause then you can make the lightsaber look as if it is on or as if it is off. That is cool until the small part of the...

That is cool until the small part of the lightsaber gets stuck in the lightsaber(it breaks) and you can't bput the rest of the balde back on.The people who fabricated this toy built it so terribly that they included a lightsaber to hold the lightsaber in the general's hand because the hand's grip is too big and the lightsaber imeadiatly falls of. One of the right forarm's parts broke the morning after I got this toy( my dad brought it home at 11;00PM) The face's color doesn't match the body's color. The blaster is the only object that stays in place. The General doesn't stand well unless you bend his feet into a frog-like position. The forarms come out easy but they take strength and patience to put back on. This may seem like a pretty cruel review over a toy, but don't get me wrong General Grievous is my favorite character, and I can't wait to see him slaughter jedi on the big screen on May 19, oh and by the way I know this is old but Obi-Wan kill General Grievous by cutting of something like his arm or by shhoting him, can't remember, but when Grievous is dying on the floor he tells Obi-Wan "I respect you as a warrior, so you can remove my mask" well not in those words but pretty much like that so Obi-Wan takes Grievous's mask of. Overall if you buy this leave it in the box, or just buy the 4 armed DELUXE General Grievous, but please think twice before you spend money on this toy or should I say waste money on this toy. Hope this helps.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Republic's NEW Face of Danger, March 6, 2005
= Durability:3.0 out of 5 stars  = Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars  = Educational:5.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: Star Wars ROTS Sneak Preview General Grievous Action Figure (Toy)
Overall, this toy is just great. Not only does it really jazz me up for the May release of Episode 3, but it's a very solid representation of an action figure. It doesn't include any of those stupid "saber swinging action" features, it's paint job is fantastic, and the weapons included are appropriate for the character. I was very excited for this figure, and when I got it, I wasn't dissapointed. However, I do have to award it three stars for durability. This toy isn't "easily breakable" by any stretch of the imagination, but it doesn't have the thickest of limbs... Of course this toy is educational, anything Star Wars will plant seeds of brilliance in any child's mind. All in all, this figure is great, I give it the highest recommendaton.

In response to a question in an earlier review, General Grievous has lighter colored lightsabers because he is a Jedi killer, he keeps and uses their lightsabers as trophies. Thus, no red lightsabers.

Aren't these are supposed to be reviews for toys, not a detailed background of the movie characters? (Referring to other reviews listed above).

With that said, the figures detail looks excellent. The Episode III preview figures didn't include action figure stands this time around for some reason and without one, this figure isn't going to stand by himself. You kind of have to prop him upright using his lightsaber. After 10 years of making Star Wars action figures, you think Hasbro would have perfected this by now :(

4.0 out of 5 stars Cool Key Character from REVENGE OF THE SITH., February 4, 2005

STAR WARS fans have some idea what the final movie will contain: the death of most of the Jedi, the duel between Anakin and Obi Wan, the return of Anakin from almost certain death to that as life as Darth Vader, and some sort of Wookie battle. Hints have been placed here and there throughout the novels, video games, and animated series on Cartoon Network. Now that the release of what is supposed to be the final STAR WARS motion picture on May 19, 2005; the mass merchandising has begun. Let the action figures roll!

One of the preview figures from REVENGE OF THE SITH is General Grievous. I'm not sure where this bad dude originates, but somewhere between ATTACK OF THE CLONES and REVENGE OF THE SITH, Count Dooku and Darth Sidious dug up this monster and he's one mean-looking character. It's hard to tell if General Sidious is total machine or a cyborg (kind of like Vader). Whatever the case, the Grievous is the head honcho in charge of the Separation forces and is apparently a military genius. His role in REVENGE OF THE SITH is an important one.

The General Grievous action figure captures the intimidating essence of the movie's character. He's a lot of fun to play with and in my eyes, appears more intimidating and sidious than either Darth Vader or Darth Maul. The figure includes a gun and a opaquish-blue lightsaber. Like most of the STAR WARS action figures that have been produced in the last several years, the character isn't very flexible. The figure would be even more fun to have if his limbs were more flexible.

Overall, a must-have figure for any STAR WARS fan. See you at the movies!

General Grievous was trained in lightsaber combat by Darth Tyrannus and gained experiece killing Jedi in the Clone Wars. He is 95% droid and 5% alien. He can wield up to 4 lightsabers at one time. He can't use the force. This figure looks good but it should come with 4 lightsabers.
