When this Star Wars Series, basically intended for younger readers, first came out I had no idea how long the Series would last. I did know that the time of the series is set right after Star Wars Ep IV A New Hope. The six-book series was well crafted and set easy to read for the younger readers. It also appeals to the serious Star Wars fan, as the story Still entertains, and older fans won't feel the books are beneath them. This is apparently the end of this series and it is a very quick but enjoyable series. Fans of all ages can enjoy it at a great low price. I definitely recommend these books.

As a fan of Jude Watson's considerable wordcount in the Star Wars galaxy, I liked this book a lot. From Watson to Wheeler, the appeal of this sort of book is to continue a storyline that satisfies the need to read an action-filled story, compelling plotline and familiar characters. And this book did, using The Big Three, Luke, Leia and Han, and two characters from Watson's series. Wheeler wove a story in her series of 6 books that ended with this book that took Luke, Leia and Han back to the days of post-Episode IV and pre-Episode V, back to when Luke was feeling his way around to living the Jedi life and Leia felt her connection to 'something,' she just didn't know what it was, not having even the minimal training in the Force that Luke did. And Han was endearing as all get out as he considered his ephemeral connection to the Rebellion, first wanting to leave, then thinking he was in too deep to quit. I guess I liked this series because the other series of books, showing the Big Three as more mature and angst-ridden, I haven't read and honestly, am not inclined to. So, considering that two of my favorite Watson characters, Ferus Olin and Lune Divinian *called Div* are in this book and others in the Wheeler series, I was satisfied with the author's take on the GFFA and its attractions. A little aside is that the title is misleading --- I found no Uprising, but plenty of Darth Vader.

I was disappointed in this book. When I saw it in the listings - marked as a "mass market paperback - I thought it was one of the usual 200-300 page 4" X 7" paperbacks like you see in the supermarkets. Therefore, I was highly disappointed when I received something that looked like it had been written to encourage an early teenager or preteen to read by presenting a subject that would interest them. The story followed its general story line well and was still fairly interesting. Had the book been what I thought I was ordering, I would have considered it very good. I would have given it 4 or 5 stars.
