5.0 out of 5 stars THE FORCE IS STRONG WITH THIS ONE... November 3, 2003
By Red Sox
Rebel Strike is the third game of the great Rogue Squadren series. This one seems to be the best yet. Unlike the other two games, you are now able to fight utilizing vehicles, blasters and lightsabers. New Vehicles were also added such as the Tie Bomber, Tie Hunter, Jedi Starfighter and the list goes on! The replay value is unbelievable and the graphics breathtaking! Did I mention it also has multiplayer and co-op? IF anyone has written a review claimiing that Rogue Leader is better, there dead wrong as you can play all the missions of Rogue Leader in co-op! This is one of the best games for any console right now.

5.0 out of 5 stars Lots of fun when Rebels strike April 5, 2006
By Simon
Fun: 5.0 out of 5 stars
Rebel Strike is the third game in Factor 5/Lucasarts' Rogue Squadron series. It is an arcade flight shooter with tactical elements, and this installment mixes things up by including on-foot and vehicle missions.

I like how Factor 5 dared to be different this time around. You get to play as an AT-ST walker and direct Ewoks to trigger their traps on Endor. You also get to relive the famous speeder bike chase, and thanks to some truly stunning graphics this scene is just as cool as it was in the movie. In fact a lot of this game covers sequences that the previous installment, Rogue Leader, didn't cover. If you put the two games together you pretty much get a complete Star Wars Trilogy package.

The flight missions are still top-notch. The Jedi Starfighter makes a cameo this time around, and you get to drop those cool seismic charges like in the movie. The on-foot missions though, are somewhat problematic. You can run around and blast Stormtroopers, but the controls feel a bit loose and the aiming reticle doesn't always latch onto the person you want to shoot at. Jumping can become a royal pain, especially in the Dagobah and Sail Barge missions. Overall these missions are playable, but their unrefined qualities make them too easy compared to the flight and vehicle missions, and they work mostly as a mild diversion.

We also get a bunch of bonus content in Rebel Strike. ALL of Rogue Squadron is available in 2-player co-op mode, and I'm surprised Factor 5 managed to squeeze it all in. There are dvd bonuses like art galleries, a making-of, and even audio commentary. There's also the 80s Star Wars arcade games wrapped in a funky disco-themed menu. Overall while the on-foot missions have flaws, there's a ton of fun and value in the package that can't be overlooked. This is a must buy for Star Wars fans.

5.0 out of 5 stars I can't stop playing September 22, 2004
Fun: 5.0 out of 5 stars
First. I have never liked Star Wars games, they are either to long and boring, they didn't feel like Star Wars, or are meant for dia hard gamers. I got this game as a gift from my brother who is the only person I know loves star wars games since the Nintendo games.

Boy I was in for a pleasant and unexpected surprise. This game is very good. And you really feel you are part of the trilogy. Locations are great, graphics are good 5 channel sound I liked. Best of all gameplay is great. Although the flying parts of the missions are kind of difficult to learn if you are not familiar with other Rogue Squadron games or ones that require flying, they are a lot of fun.

I already finished the regular missions, but I feel the need to get the medals to unlock the bonus missions, which are five, I already got three and have played the first one. I like the fact that you want to play more even when the main story is finished, not like other games that you are in an urge to beat them just to know the ending and get it over with.

I like the fact that you can play not only with luke, but with Han, Wedge, Chewie driving an Imperial Walker and that bring us to another cool part, you get to drive different kind of vehicles and fly different ships in some missions you can choose which you want to fly.

If you are a beginner you will enjoy it and if there are missions which are too difficult you can enter a passcode for unlimited lives or to unlock the different features, but you can't unlock the bonus missions.

4.0 out of 5 stars Rebel Strike May 30, 2005
Fun: 4.0 out of 5 stars
I think Rebel Strike is a great game overall. It's got good graphics, good sountracks, very good gameplay and takes you a little beyond the movies. It's a decent challenge, althought it's pretty straightforward, and since it has unlockable levels it's still challenging after you've beaten the game. And, of course, for all you lazy cheaters out there, it has plenty of cheats and glitches- especially unlockable ships. Read more ›

1.0 out of 5 stars Will not read
Every 20-40 seconds I get an error message stating that the disc cannot be read. The disc visibly has no scratches. This renders the game completely unplayable.
