4.0 out of 5 stars Jedi Master Will
I collect the figures for display, and I have to say, the look of Shaak Ti is incredible...I have no kids, so the figure is used for my sole purposes, and I love it! I dont think it's the best figure that they've introduced, but it does look really cool having Shaak Ti deflect bolts back at the targets..

3.0 out of 5 stars Shaak Ti sounds like a karate word...
Shaak Ti!! Sounds like something a martial artist would say while executing a karate chop. Anyway, it's always nice to see more female Jedi being immortalized as an action figure, like Luminara Unduli and Adi Gallia. Shaak Ti is a new member of the Jedi Council in EpII, and very appealing to the eye. She features a red face with white lips and raccoon-striped...

She features a red face with white lips and raccoon-striped head-tails. As with Nikto and Luminara, I was kinda let down by the lack of poseability in this figure. Her rubbery arms move and her head moves a little bit, and that's it. She has a blue lightsaber with a clip-on blaster deflection effect. The paint job on this figure is superb, which is the main reason I decided to get it, and she can also hold her lighsaber with both hands. Overall, Shaak Ti is a nice figure, but it would have been nice to have a little more poseability. As with Nikto and Luminara, Shaak Ti is another one of those figures that looks great as a display, and not for play.

1.0 out of 5 stars For collectors only, July 4, 2002

This review is from: Star Wars AOTC Shaak Ti Action Figure (Toy)
This is the first Star Wars Chapter 2 figure I've purchased, and may well be the last. I collect toys as a hobby, and before the film's opening, I saw this in a Toys R Us, and was amazed by the spectacularly detailed paint job and beautiful sculpting.
But it's a good thing I wasn't buying this for a child to play with. Once you get past the toy's looks, there is nothing else to be said in it's favor.
The figure's head can barely be moved, and the arms, posed to hold the lightsaber, are also terribly limited in their movability.
Making matters worse is that the lightsaber is made in two pieces - a 2" translucent plastic "blade" which plugs into the second piece, a tiny handle less than 1/2" long.
As a father, I shudder to think of how much frustration this will make for the kids. What do they do if the tiny plug breaks off the blade, and it can't be reattached to the lightsaber? And worse, what do they do if they loose that beautifully sculpted and painted but criminally small handle?
When the first three Star Wars films were released, the toys were poorly sculpted, simply painted, and could be easily played with. Since then, toy companies have learned just how much money can be made by targeting (some) adult collectors (not me!) with big, expensive items.
The popularity of Star Wars toys with collectors appears to have prompted Hasbro into making the whole line as much (if not more)for adult collectors as for the kids.
As a result, Shaak Ti is a very nice looking display piece, but little else.

4.0 out of 5 stars jedi, March 10, 2003

This toy is pretty good, but not really for playing. She has great detail, one of the best in detail so far. She has 3 points of articulation: her hands, arms, and head. If you put her lightsaber in her hands and move them up and down, it looks like she's cutting something in two. Though you might not want her, you still need her if you wish to recreate the battle arena (and you'll also need the other jedi that are coming out; I wish Hasbro would hurry up so I can recreate the battle arena scene).

this figure is o.k. the problem is that her blue lightsaber blade falls off easily so its not much fun. but this toy is good overall. i like the way she is posed.

This Figure is definitley one of the best of its series. the sculpt and paint job are great, especially on the face and tentacles. You can't play too much with this one, but it is great to put on display. Get It!

2.0 out of 5 stars Shaak Ti Jedi Master--by Mason, July 2, 2002

Unlike my other Episode II figures, Shaak Ti is not that cool. Her blue lightsaber blade broke off the handle and I had to tape it back on. But this toy has the best durability in my collection. It looks like she's wearing some sort of African mask with long and big pieces of hair sticking down. You can use Shaak Ti's blast effect and attach it to the saber and deflect blaster shots--great with Jango Fett and Zam Wesell.

2.0 out of 5 stars "action" figure?, June 1, 2002
= Durability:3.0 out of 5 stars  = Fun:2.0 out of 5 stars  = Educational:1.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: Star Wars AOTC Shaak Ti Action Figure (Toy)
Metal lightsaber enthusiasts beware, Shaak Ti has a plastic one. Just thought I'd get that out of the way first, in case you love the metal lightsabers like I do and let the inclusion or absence of them influence your buying decision.

The paint job is great. I'll give the figure that much. Her face, her... uh... head... tendril things... the paint is very detailed on them (she's even got painted fingernails!). But her poseablility is severely lacking; she has zero articulation other than her shoulders and neck (and a lot of good the neck articulation'll do you when you can't even turn her head due to her tendrils getting in the way). And the sculpt of the arms is in such a way that means you'll be posing her just like she is in the package; her lean, the angle of her arms and the positioning of her wrists accommodate only the laser blast-blocking sword stance you see in the picture. It's as cool a stance as any, and if you're not interested in posing her/playing with her, I'd add another star to the score. On the other hand, if you're buying it for a child or are a child yourself and have play in mind, be wary that she stays pretty much solid in the pose that she's in when she comes out of the box.

So a score of two stars as an average - those planning to keep her in her package or just stick her on a shelf as-is could consider this a three star toy for her neato paint job and cool (and only) pose. But if you're planning on staging battles or anything, I'd say it's a one star toy, reminding of how little fun the Emperor Palpatine and (old Power of the Force) Imperial Guardsmen were to play with, because Shaak Ti is eerily similar.

Not much poseability on this one. Seems that most of these new toys cater to the collector. Collector's keep em in the package! It was nice when Adi Gallia came out. She was more flexible than Shaak Ti. Still, she looks great! Very erotic looking gal! In an alien kinda way. So, not much fun for you grown-ups who still play with these figures because she is such a stiff, at least she's a gurl!
