5.0 out of 5 stars Great Landspeeder!!, October 23, 2002

This review is from: Star Wars: Luke Skywalker and Landspeeder with mobile "hovering" effect (Toy)
Hasbro has done a great job with this one. The sculpt and paint job are extremely close to the movie prop. It has retractable wheels that are clear to give it a better hover look. Included is a Luke Skywalker with elbow joints to better hold his weapon. The vehicle looses a few points since there is no way to seat any droids in the back and I have had a bit of trouble fitting Luke in the drivers seat. Overall it's a great piece for any Star Wars collection. Get yours today!

5.0 out of 5 stars AT LONG-LAST THE LANDSPEEDER, September 26, 2002

Finally! After a quarter-of-a-century, the definitive landspeeder replica is here! Quantum leaps beyond the appalling Kenner Toys offering, Hasbro has done an outstanding job and has really captured the essence of the vehicle: sleek, low profile flanks; incredible graphics and weathering; correctly contoured windscreen; detailed cockpit with steering control; and a retractable "hover effects" undercarriage. On top of this, it comes in a diorama style package that really makes it a dilemma whether to open the box or not. I bought two speeders as a solution to this crisis. Also included is a weathered Luke Skywalker figure with long-range rifle. IT IS AN IMPERATIVE FOR ANY STAR WARS FAN TO GET THIS TOY!!

4.0 out of 5 stars Luke's Landspeeder Version 2.0, June 30, 2003

This is a great representation of Luke Skywalker's personal Sorosuub x-34 Landspeeder from Star Wars IV: A New Hope. It is vastly improved over the version released 7 or 8 years ago in terms of authenticity and scale. There is a gear shift that turns on and off a hovering effect via springs that lower wheels from the bottom of the vehicle. It even includes a Luke with 'desert dusty dirty' look and well-articulated neck, plus he has his hunting rifle which can attach to the landspeeder. It is worth it for the Star Wars freakazoids, but kids might like it too, as my 10 yr old cousin wanted severely to wreck it into other toys due to the fact that it can roll very well. That is all.
