4.0 out of 5 stars Great ship, however........
I picked this up a few years ago and well.....

It is small, the size of a one man fighter. I wish Hasbro would have made a larger scaled version. The front of the ship opens up to reveal dual missle launchers for a total of four. The other two launchers are on the sides between the wings and the cokpit. It comes with four projectiles, two missles, and two small...

3.0 out of 5 stars Good toy, but.....
This is a great toy and has amazing deatil, but one major problem. This is the same size as the Delta 7, Eta 2 and TIE Fighter, and thats understandable, but..... the Simatar was not a one man fighter. and this is sized and scaled to be a one man fighter.

I picked this up a few years ago and well.....

It is small, the size of a one man fighter. I wish Hasbro would have made a larger scaled version. The front of the ship opens up to reveal dual missle launchers for a total of four. The other two launchers are on the sides between the wings and the cokpit. It comes with four projectiles, two missles, and two small black ball shaped droids. Either missle fits either launcher, so mix and match at will. The wings are spring loaded and look really cool either closed or opened.

The landing gear is unstable, but that might be just mine. The landing gear "folds up" under the front of the ship and does not acually have a space inside the ship.

The detailing is great! The cokpit is very unique, and detailed. From front to back there is a great amount of detail on the ship.

Pros:
Good detail
Mix and match projectiles
Solid construction
Nice open/closing S-Foils

Cons:
Small
Weird "spliting" front
Landing gear is a bit...off....

Overall the big killer about this ship is it's size. However, if you can overlook that, you will enjoy it.

This is easily one of the best Star Wars vehicles Hasbro has made yet. Of course, it's awesome as the only example of a true Sith ship we ever see in the films. However, Hasbro did a particularly good job. I really appreciate the fact that Hasbro did not sacrifice the design or dimensions of the ship just so it could fit a figure. I hated how the old Millennium Falcon had a huge cockpit and relatively tiny hull. By contrast, this ship almost looks like a model and is a nearly perfect replica of the one from the movie.

Having said that, there is a "hidden missile launcher" when you pull open the hull. I guess this is for kids, but even when I was a kid I hated when Hasbro added these types of features on vehicles. Fortunately, if you keep the hull closed, it's fairly inconspicuous. I just pretend it doesn't exist.

I did see that other reviewers complained about the size of the ship. All I have to say is: get real. Hasbro is not going to make a huge version of this ship - the company knows not enough people would pay for it. This ship is rare enough to find and costs a good deal secondhand (I got mine off eBay for a reasonable price, but many are sold for double what I paid). So, no, the ship is NOT scale to the Darth Maul figure. HOWEVER, as a fan of the old action fleet line, it is scale to the action fleet figures. Thus, you could just use it as a ship versus, say, the Naboo Starfighter or the droid fighters. I don't even bother to put my Darth Maul figure in the cockpit (which is basically just grey).

Overall, definitely get this ship if you are a fan of Star Wars vehicles - or if you have fond memories of the action fleet line.

My 7 years son, as he's an enthusiastic SW fan, found it perfectly fulfilling his desires and liked it very much. To me, it seems not dangerous and possibly well done
