As soon as I got this book, I went through the WHOLE thing cover to cover. It was great finding things I had (and kicking myself for things I wish I still had :) ). When I started to wonder if there was a Star Wars _____, I'd look through the book and there it was! There are definitely thousands of pictures - problem is they're tiny. If you don't have the greatest vision, a magnifying glass would help.

I did also find some typos between what was identified in the picture and the id description (I'd seen the item before so I could tell the description was wrong). If you're looking for information on the trading cards, this is the right place. I'd say probably at least 1/4 of the book is nothing but trading card information.

For the price and what the book was trying to accomplish (categorize just about any known Star Wars item on earth), it's well worth the price. It brought back some great memories too so I think it's still a great buy.

The first edition was a "good try" to put an exhaustive book out on the market again, since we haven't had a complete one since 1997. In this second edition, the author has taken to heart some of the short comings of the first edition, completely stripped down the title and rebuilt it bigger and better!

Critisism: 17,000 photos is unbelievable! Unfortunately, "magnifying glass not included". Since the book is already huge, how about dropping a couple of thousand photos and making the remaining ones large enough to enjoy without squinting? Minus one rating star.

Positive: WOW! The content is right on the mark! Every time I wonder if they made a Star Wars _____, I look and there it is! Most of the time, there's even a photograph so I can see what it looks like! Definately a four-star book!

Conclusion: If this turns out to be an on-going series, I'm willing to put down my $...a year just to see what kind of new (and old) stuff they're finding to add! I practially wore the binding off the first book. Time to retire it; there's a better one out now!

For the new collector or for the "Old Hand" this book is a must.
Packed with thousands of colour photos and some great details, it is something that should be part of any serious collectors library. Overloaded with page after page of collectable.
Although some of the action figures variations are not listed and there are a few items missing from the list, I am sure the author will correct these MINOR oversights with his next edition.
Outstanding book, outstanding value.

This is a comprehensive showpiece for any Star Wars Collector. With everything it includes, color photos and information, you can daydream of all the collectibles you want or you can put a value on the treasure you found at a garage sale, or the toy you've had for years, to see what it's value is. Incredible valuable resource for the serious collector, comic shop, or your child for a Christmas or Birthday gift. A keepsake for many years. This author is on top of the market for the entire world of Star Wars Collectibles.

Easy to use. Contains detailed information on everything from chip bags to happy meals to pencils to action figures. I had a couple of questions, emailed the author and he responded within minutes. Additionally, there is a wonderful complementary web site that has a wealth of info.
