All right, so SWE1 has been given a lot of stick by various critics. But it's a common opinion that critics generally mis-judge sci-fi anyway, for example Dune and so on. The reason that this is such a good soundtrack is simple: everything about it. The music has changed: the music is more highly charged and can be at once exciting, relaxing and inspirational, with a more passionate score than episodes IV, V and VI. Williams has added more depth to his music and has mixed it in with the old stuff from the original trilogy, making it similar yet because of the above reasons starkly different. All of this can be appreciated by the SW purist or simple fan at once, but can also be appreciated on a purely superficial level. Go on... you'll enjoy it! <This review appears on the imported episode 1 page as well. Don't say I didn't mention it...>

I really loved this CD. While the music was new, John Williams did an excelent job of taking you back to a Galaxy Far, Far away
