Star Wars Unleashed Jango & Boba Fett

Anything I say about "Jango & Boba Fett Unleashed" will not do justice to what I consider to be the #1 collectible action figure available in the entire Star Wars Collection.

It is almost as if this diorama set of two figures are alive. The detail in both characters is outstanding. I especially love the face on Boba. His arm is reaching up towards the sky with mouth open and teeth showing; waiting for his father Jango to protect him from the evil force. Who ever designed these characters is a genius.

There are a few people in this world that are not big fans of Star Wars. Needless to say, I haven't met anyone with those feelings. However, I'm not so naive to think there are a few. What's my point, you ask? Simple! If you are a fan of action figures of any kind, you will want this set for the following reasons:

1. Outstanding Detail
2. So life-like your imagination will think they are real people.
3. For the serious collector the packaging is detailed to the point of tree limbs surrounding the plastic case.
4. Forget about NUMBER 4 - I rate this a 10 + + + + + + + +

The imagination that went in to creating "UNLEASHED" is outstanding, to say the least. I was only able to purchase one because it was the last in stock. It is available now, but don't wait too long. This is the only set I don't think will make it in to the secondary market. WHY? I can only imagine people wanting to keep them for themselves. Heaven forbid...a selfish thought. Oh, maybe you'll see one or two on line, but the price will be way up there.

Get this before my prediction comes true. I've been on target with all of my other reviews; so I have no reason to believe I'll be wrong on this one. Sure, it's hot now...but wait...STAR WARS UNLEASHED WITH JANGO AND BOBA FETT will be boiling in the not too distant future. What else can I say? Out of the 100 or so action figures I own, this one is by far the BEST.

Looks ok in the packaging, but it's excellent once it gets unwrapped.

Detailing and action posture is excellent.

Side views are very dramatic.

Boba is detachable if you only want Jango (smart thinking).

They may not be as posable as the industry-revolutionizing Todd McFarlane Spawn toys, but the new Star Wars Unleashed figures certainly owe them for a bit of inspiration. If it weren't for the success of action figures aimed towards collectors with an eye for sculpting, size, and sheer "geekiness", Hasbro might never have dared to try something like the Unleashed line for Star Wars. They could have just stuck to the old stand-by, smaller figures; not that there is anything wrong with those classic, retro toys, mind you. It's just cool to see big, statuesque, artsy SW pieces after all these years. Jango Fett is a good first choice. He is exceptionally detailed and with him, you essentially get two for the price of one when you consider his son, Boba, is right by his side. You can actually choose to have Boba wearing his cape or not wearing it. Simply removing Boba's head enables you to switch back and forth. Fun stuff, to be certain.

Hasbro is merely tapping into the potential of the Unleashed line, however. Starting with Episode 2 characters is an obvious and logical choice. Just imagine, however, when they start dipping their toes into the waters of the classic SW characters. Darth Vader, Chewbacca, Tusken Raiders, Bossk...all would be intriguing choices to get the Unleashed treatment. Let's hope we see more of this new line, sooner than later.

In one word, outstanding. This is undoubtably my favorite in the unleashed series. For one, b/c jango and boba have been long time, increadibly cool star wars characters. This is a perfect pose to capture the action of episode II. The increadible attention to detail and the dual blaster/ jetpack compo make this toy a must for any true star wars fan this christmas!!!

First off, this isn't really an action figure, it's a statue. I highly detailed, plastic statue that represents the stuff that collector's drool over at night. Filling in the gap between the standard 3.75 inch action figure and very expensive cast statues, the new Unleashed line by Hasbro exceeds all hopes. The figures capture the essence of the characters they represent and for the money the detail can't be beat.

Part of the first issue of the Unleashed line, Jango and Boba Fett are captured from their Kamino escape, battling the weather (which is captured magnificently on the base and figures and you believe they are in the rain) and Jedi both, the figures represent the fear of young Boba's self while the calm collectiveness of Jango Fett, bounty hunter extraordinaire. As Boba huddles behind his father, Jango both hides his prize son while holding his own ground under the circumstances.

If the rest of the Unleashed line is anything like this figure then I'm more than sold on it. I think Hasbro realized there was a definite demand for a series such as this and they've really delivered a fine product.

This is probably the best of the Unleased sculpts as it has the most complex paint sceme and intricate detail-right down to the 'rain slickened' landing platform. But, like the rest of the line, this pose never actually took place on the screen. Makes for another good acquisition for your collection.

As an artistic approach, Hasbro has gone out of their way to provide with these plastic statues, and true works of art.
Star Wars: Unleashed is a series that tries the deepest emotions of the SW characters, eliciting feelings of rage, honor and hate, among others, from buyers.

This limited run statue evokes the strength of Jango Fett. His will to protect his only 'son' and the strenght in his protection. The frozen scream of horror and fright on Boba's face does further to amplify the strength in Jango.

This is one of the coolest items i've picked up. Long time fan of boba fett and more than happy with the latest/earliest (whatever) member of the fett family :) I think this is an awesome collectors item, and packaged to be shown off even if you don't want to open it.

This is the best Jango Fett collectible yet! I had some problems with the assembly, notably attaching Boba's poncho to Jango's leg, and Jango's jet-pack doesn't quite have enough room, since Boba's poncho (Again!) is in the way. Once assembled, though, it seems pretty sturdy, and the pose is classic! This is a great value for the price! I was especially impressed with the base, which really looks like it's covered with water from the ever-present rains of Kamino. This is even better than the previous Darth Maul Unleashed statue, and so far the Unleashed line seems to be a great success.

This figure, along with the Maul are both fantastic. Both should be added to your collection immediately. Great action poses, perfect sculpting, and the ideal size for displaying. I only hope we see more characters introduced into this line. I recommend you go out and get both of these today.
