The ultimate kit is great because you get the upgraded electronic lightsaber. I don't know what the other reviewer was expecting?? It's a great kit!

This boxed set is a great gift for kids (or small adults) who want to play Darth Vader. Included is the Darth Vader Voice Changer, with three modes of operation -- Vader's breathing, different quotes from the movie, or a changer that alters the wearer's voice. This is the same voice changer that is available separately and has been heavily advertised since 2005. Also included are a cape with a velcro closure and a red light saber that expands to several feet and requires 2 "C" batteries in order to light up and make sounds.

The items have so far been quite durable, and our little SW fan is having a blast. The helmet/voice changer is not really big enough for an adult as stated. (Yes, I've tried it!) But it should fit kids and teens. The cape, however, will be too small for anyone who's already gone through their pre-teen growth!

Very nice set, but save some money and just get the voice changer if that's the only item you want.

my grandson loves starwars and dressing up, so this darth vadar costume with mask and voice changer is providing him with tons of enjoyment.

Sure. The box is aptly labeled as "ages 5 and up". Good thing being in your 20's is, technically, still on the "and up" range. What I am trying to say is that adults who are fans of the Star Wars phenomenon will definitely love to be in the shoes (or helmet) of everyone's favorite Sith Lord, Darth Vader.

The set includes a voice changer (which may be bought separately), basic lightsaber, and a cape. The breastplate that they mentioned that's "included" is a part of the voice changer, and not an actual separate item. It may not be a complete Vader costume, but it will definitely satisfy your fantasy of galactic domination.

Too bad the light saber is just the basic one, which have to be manually flicked by your wrist for the blade to extend, and not electronic.

The BIG downside? Actual Empire and minions do not come with the box.

Im writing this review because I think it is a very good deal yo buy this kit. Why? Because it cost the half of what you would have to pay in the store ($60) but it gets delivered in your home in a fair amount of time (5 days). I'm telling you, this kit is worth it. Plus, all kids like the star wars toys so it is a great deal from amazon. Amazing!

No problems or breaks yet after over a year. everything works as new. But, the helmet does come apart too easily, and the light plastic scratches easily.

I bought this toy for my nephew. He loves Darth Vader. This is the only toy that he has played with since his birthday.

I was more than pleased with the Darth Vader Kit. It was so much more than I expected. It arrived in great condition, very well packed.

I would not hesitate to make further purchases.

Got it to send to brother in law kicking ass in Iraq. It is bound to freak people out over there. Can you imagine the light saber attached at the belt and the cape? Mind blowing, even for a 32 year old.

My son recieved this for his sixth birthday and it has been by far his favorite gift. The quality is top notch and he loves how it makes his voice scary and that it came with a light saber and a sword.
