My wife and I thought we'd be daring and get this (as well as the dual saber) for our two boys this past Christmas. This toy works great. Our one concern was how quickly the saber would come out once the button was pushed and with what force. It actually comes out quickly, but really wouldn't hurt if it hit someone. Concern nulified. My son and I go at it with these things in the drive way (he loves it, I just protect myself from getting hit)... lots of fun. Definitely recommend this. My sons are 3 and 6, btw.

My kids are huge Star Wars fans. Once they learned to play with light sabers, we quickly realized that you need more than one. This particular brand is heavy-duty; it has withstood many hard hits and is still in service. It is rather heavy, so make sure your kids are old enough to know that it can break something!

I ordered this for my grandson's birthday and he loved it. Another grandson loved it also, so I ordered one for his birthday in December.

shipped early and its a lot of fun. it occasionaly gets stuck and doesnt spring out, but most the time its not a problem. very durable, so you dont have to worry about it breaking.

I got these for a comic con costume that I'm not going to have. However, the sabers are still nice. The hilt feels a little large, but the spring action is cool. I haven't really played with them, I just took them out of the package to test out, and then put them back. But they seem solid enough for some light saber fighting; Ep 6 style, not Ep 1.
They would serve great as toys for the kids, or for a costume if you don't want to pay for an FX blade, or want something that can actually be hooked on a belt. However, there is no hook, haven't figured that part out yet.

All and all, very cool Lightsabers!!

kids have lots of fun with these, but one complaint is that it can sometimes be a bit difficult for kids to retract the light saber.

My 5 year old had asked "Santa" for this lightsaber and he was thrilled. However after the first couple of days it started getting stuck and does not open, unless it is manually pulled by an adult.

Just by looking at the picture I can tell that it is only worth $20. My little brother had that one. DON'T buy it.

I have a 3 year old and a 5 year old and they seem to love these!
