Star brite Star Tron Gasoline Additive

I am hesitant to recommend this Star Brite Star Tron Enzyme Fuel Treatment stuff because the result I am getting in my six cylinder Toyota 4-Runner is just short of miraculous and I can hardly believe it. My Toyota (with an automatic transmission) was stumbling and chugging a bit at about 45 miles per hour. I had been assuming the problem was dirty fuel injectors so I dumped various brands of cleaner into the gas tank with no discernable result. I read about the Star Brite product in Popular Science magazine and began to think the `stumbling' in my SUV might be due to water from using the alcohol laced gasoline sold around here.

I have run two tanks of gasoline through my Toyota using the prescribed amount of Star Brite Star Tron Enzyme Fuel Treatment and the `stumbling' has stopped. Honestly, I can hardly believe it. Either the Star Brite Enzyme stuff is doing just what they say it does or this is a temporary phenomenon caused by something else beyond my comprehension. It sure looks like it is working according to the claims made for it.

I must say the idea of enzymes having anything to do with a tank full of water, alcohol and gasoline is a reality stretch for me. I taught high school chemistry for years before my retirement and I am somewhat skeptical about the enzyme claims.

Be that as it may, this Star Brite treatment is apparently working as advertised for whatever reason and I really don't care why. I plan to buy some more.

I have now used the Star Brite treatment regularly for over six weeks and it has apparently solved the problem I was experiencing with the alcohol laden gasoline I am forced to use in our state.
It only takes two ounces of the product per tank of gas so a bottle of it goes a long way.

It is available in 8,16 and 32 ounce quantities. Don't assume it is necessary to dump the whole bottle of Star Brite into the tank like other gasoline additives require.

This product worked very good at taking water and moisture out of some bad gas that we had purchased.

My vehickes have picked up about 1 mpg even on winter blend gas. They run smooth. Shipping was fast. Thanks

I had never heard of this product until I recently walked into my "20 something brainiac" nephews work shop and saw fuel stabilizer study he had undertaken for his own purposes. He had several different fuels from different companies (Shell, Citgo, etc.) in mason jars with different additives. In the jars, he had metals (both suspended and laying on the bottom). In several of the jars, some had turned the fuel hazy, was coating the side of the jar, and a green cloud appeared around the metals. In several others, the fuel was only slightly hazy and a light white cloud had formed. There was only one that caught my attention....not sure of the relevance of the fuel, but it was Shell with Star Tron...this fuel was absolutely crystal clear with no residue on the side of the jar. From what I witnessed, I'm making my own conclusion that this is by far the best additive on the market.

I had a vehicle with a nearly full tank of gas that was not used for three months this past winter. Ethanol being what it is, it will significantly degrade the quality of the fuel and also result in phase separation. Before even starting the vehicle I purchased a bottle of Star Brite and treated the entire tank overnight. I'm pleased to report the additive worked, no starting difficulties, no clogging of fuel filters, and the vehicle seemed to run better the more it was driven. Since then I have kept a bottle or two on hand for gasoline kept in storage (i.e., for lawnmowers and two-stroke engines). While not a substitute for changing fuel filters at factory specified intervals, a bottle or two every 5 to 10K miles seems to keep fuel residue to a minimum as well as eliminate water molecules in the fuel system. This additive seems to address the major problem with ethanol fuels in that they attract water and tend towards phase separation. Phase separation is definitely not where you want to be, where the fuel and the water actually physically separate within the tank, particularly in subfreezing temperatures.

After having fuel problems with our boat(I believe due to ethanol fuel}We started using Star brite star tron in every fill up and have had no problems since!I regularly take fuel samples as the boat sometimes sits for 4-6weeks at a time without being run.There does not seem to be any sign of Phase seperation and have I have not had any injector problems.I highly recommend this product

Works as intended... I ALWAYS would have issue with one of my motorcycles when using E10 fuel. I put this into it and BAM! Never had an issue ALL YEAR! Can't be a coincidence IMO. It happened constantly.

Well worth the money. We use it now in all of our water craft too.

This product was recommended to me by the service manager where I take my 4-wheeler. Shortly after ethanol was mandated as an additive in our gasoline by Uncle Sam, my 2-stroke 90CC 4-wheeler started having problems running smoothly, often shutting off entirely after a hard run or backfiring. I had it tuned twice with little to no improvement. That's when the service manager recommended this Star Brite product. After adding this additive to the gas as prescribed in the directions, the 4-wheeler has run much better. It seldom cuts out or backfires, idles smoothly, and starts easily. This is not a fluke, as I have been using the Star Brite for the last two riding seasons and the improvement in performance has been consistent.

This additive was highly recommended by my boat motor mechanic to protect you motor from harmful stuff in gas. Since I have been using it, my engine problems have disappeared.
