I will admit, this item itself is a bit of a let down. With absoulutly nothing to take from it, it isn't exactly a product for advanced players to get simply to take ideas from it(Stats and such). For that purpose, it gets 2 Stars. But for new players, who might have played the PC StarCraft, this is an excellant Start. Cheap, easy to read, and simple. It gives a player what they need to get started. And if I remember right, I think Guass Rifles are listed in the Alternity Players Handbook. It has what a begining player needs, but I hope, that even though TSR has shut down Alternity, that they release a Campaign Book for StarCraft like they did for Diablo 2(For D&D). The Art does kinda suck though(Not all of it, but the majority). Overall, I liked it. I hope many StarCraft fans buy it, and I hope they learn the joys of RolePlaying from it.

Okay, Here's what I recieved from Alternity StarCraft Edition... It's an excellent addition to Starcraft, and though Blizzard says that it has absolutely nothing to do with StarCraft Storyline, it has good plot and fun missions. It also gives information on weapons and skills that is helpfull, and it also explains about the Mutate, which IS in Starcraft storylines (as seen in the Map Deception.scx) Overall, it's extremely informative and actually gets you to wish they either put more missions in it, or started to produce seperate mission packs for it. That's all I have to say.

If you are looking for the Starcraft upgades for your Alternity Campain (Protoss Pc, Zerg monsters, & Gauss Riflr stats) your looking in the wrong place. This Exp. as no new weapons, skills, Mutations, Pisonic skills. you get a couple new monsters, Fast play PC sheets. it is not even a book it is two pampelts stapled together. An utter failure. 10 min. after I got it I started to repack it and start inveting my own my own Zerglings stats, Gauss rifle and Pistol Damage ratings.

Not the best work I have seen. Basically it was the same info as the Player's handbook. TSR makes mistakes like this from time to time but I would have expect more from Blizzard. They do great work, and I am a loyal customer, but this book is below par. Blizzard should have done an independant game-testing.
