5.0 out of 5 stars Does what it's supposed to do, November 4, 2003
This review is from: StarTech 6in PS/2 Keyboard Mouse Splitter Cable Adapter (KYC1MF) (Personal Computers)
What can you say? It's a Y cable that allows you to split your keyboard/mouse port on your laptop so you can connect both a keyboard and a mouse at the same time. I use it on my Compaq Evo N610c with no problems. Cheaper than a docking station and works great.

What more can I say? If you have a single PS/2 style connection on your PC or laptop and need to split them in order to connect a separate mouse and keyboard this is your adapter.

5.0 out of 5 stars Found a fix to the problem, July 14, 2010
This review is from: StarTech 6in PS/2 Keyboard Mouse Splitter Cable Adapter (KYC1MF) (Personal Computers)
I tried to use this cable with my laptop's docking station, which had just 1 PS/2 port. I was connecting this to a KVM switch and found that only keyboard was recognized, but mouse did not work. After some serious web searching, I found a solution. Looks like they labeled the connectors incorrectly or probably the docking station has some pins reversed: just connect the mouse to the keyboard connector of the Y cable and connect the keyboard to the mouse connector of the Y cable. After this 'cross connection' both keyboard and mouse started working!
