I tried several different video splitters - none of them were good. This is a very good product. I am splitting 1280x1024 and no issues at all. Highly recommended.

While this unit does indeed split the VGA signal, if you're using anything that relies on Display Data Channel (DDC) info being passed back to the computer, this will NOT do it. You computer will not recognize what type of device is plugged in to this splitter.

May be solid for general applications, but if you are using specialized projection software that relies on DDC to recognize the second monitor, look elsewhere.

Just what I needed to split the video signal from one computer to two separate screens across the room from each other...this is a front end alignment computer and Hunter wanted almost a grand for their remote screen attachment...Using this relatively inexpensive splitter and another monitor, I was able to do the same thing essentially for an order of magnitude less money. Thank you very much...this unit has been in relatively 24/7 operation for over two years now with no problems whatsoever. Will buy again if this one ever goes out. Excellent product.

I use this to play Rock Band on multiple screens at once. It always works as advertised. The only bit of advice I have is to order a female/female coupler to get it to work with various setups.

We tried to use this for our lecture capture system but the video was dark. We replaced it with a different one.

I needed to split the video signal coming from a PC to a monitor and a video projector so I could conduct training showing the actual application. The StarTech ST112L did the trick although I needed to get a little VGA coupler female/female converter to change the male input to female in order to use standard male/male VGA cables.
