This review is from: StarTech.com COMPUTPEXTA Composite Video Extender over Cat 5 with Audio (Electronics)
I used this pair of adapters to carry composite video out of a camera and audio out of a mixer, to a TV some 100 yards away. I was pleasantly surprised to see almost no signal degradation. Sound and picture came loud and clear. It's pretty amazing how well this product works, considering it's a passive device (no power required!) at low cost.
Note that the signal remains analog the whole way, this is not an ethernet signal, so don't think about connecting it to a hub/switch or computer! The little wire pairs inside the ethernet cable are used to carry the analog signals (one pair for the video, one pair for the right channel audio, and one pair for the left channel audio). The audio connectors are RCA, but the video is a BNC connector. I would have preferred it to be RCA as well, however the product does come with 2 BNC/RCA adapters so it's not a problem.
Here are the specs stated in the manual:

Certifications (Regulatory etc.): FCC, CE, WEEE, RoHS
Input: 1 x RJ45
1 x Stereo Audio RCA
1 x BNC female
Output: 1 x RJ45
1 x Stereo Audio RCA
1 x BNC female
Dimensions (LxWxH): 110 x 77 x 24mm
Weight: 460g (1.014 lb)
Maximum Resolution: 480i/480p
Bandwidth: DC to 8MHz

This AV transmitter works flawlessly!! Much better than the wireless units. It was a pain to rout the CAT5 cable but the audio and video quality is far superior to any wireless model I have tried (I used both 2.4GHz and 5.8GHz models and verious brands over 4+ years).
