Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: StarTech.com DP2DVIMM10 10 feet DisplayPort to DVI Video Adapter Converter Cable - M/M (Electronics)
I have purchased two cables from StarTech. The first was a standard 6ft VGA cable and then this 10ft DisplayPort to DVI cable - both cables had bad noise, snow and incorrect colors on the monitor. The cables appear heavy duty and in theory should work well - I mean, how can you screw up a cable right? They have a lifetime warranty, but I never returned the first one because I ended up with many other VGA/VGA cables (all much thinner) and work flawlessly.

I purchased this cable so I can connect a third monitor to my ATI HD5670 1GB video card. Here's the setup:
One Sceptre 22" monitor on the HDMI - works great.
One Samsung 17" Analog LCD monitor using a DVI-VGA adaptor - works great, so far so good.
One Acer 22" (with no HDMI) that I wanted to use this DisplayPort to DVI cable on - NO GO. Display was out of sync, had snow, noise 16 colors, etc. The display works great on a standard DVI cable, but not with this setup.

I've returned the cable and just given up on this three monitor configuration. Honestly, it could be that DisplayPort to DVI doesn't work on a simple cable, but then what's the purpose of it?

I don't recommend any [...] cable. They're 0 for 2 so far with me.
