I received the cable. Contruction looked good. I plugged it into my Displayport and then into my HDMI TV and, voila, my computer display was on the TV. Works great for playing Netflix's movies from my computer onto the big screen.

Nothing more, nothing less- worked like a charm, price was reasonable, and item came in 2 days. It was fulfilled by amazon as we noticed the 'fulfillment by amazon' sticker and invoice. I purchased this cable to connect a Samsung SyncMaster 2333HD monitor to a Dell e-port replicator (a docking station). The monitor was originally connected with a DVI to HDMI conversion cable.

The cable works exactly as advertised, it is sturdy and the monitor works very well. My only problem with this order was due to UPS fumbling miserably, it had nothing to do with Amazon.

I just bought this cable because I checked every retail Electronics store in my area (Des Moines and Minneapolis), and none of the stores had this cable (Radio Shack, Best Buy, Office Max, Target, Walmart, Staples, Microcenter, etc). I did pay more for the shipping than I did for the cable, so if there were any negatives, it was the shipping cost. In all, I paid $33 for the cable and 2 day shipping. I received the item on the day it was scheduled to arrive (ordered Sunday, received Tuesday), and I was able to connect my HP EliteBook 8740W to my Samsung HDTV with absolutely no problems. The extra 4' of cable was the selling point, considering that other sites have 6' cables for slightly less than what I paid for a 10' cable. I can connect my laptop to the TV, set the laptop next to me on the couch, and watch movies with much higher quality video and audio than I had with my VGA-HDMI adapter.

I would give this item a better score if the shipping costs were not so high, but as far as doing what I needed, this Display to HDMI cable met all expectations.

But this item, if you need Display to HDMI, this cable is for you.

**UPDATE** 11-5-2011 - The Cable was very reliable until about 2 weeks ago. We were watching a movie on our TV via my laptop, and the image started to flicker. We thought it was the movie, so we stopped it and started it again. The image continued to flicker. I checked the connection at the display port, and noticed that the end of the cable was split open. I could see the bare wires and when I moved the cable, the image on my TV flickered.

I was able to put some electrical tape on the end, and so far, I have only had a few instances where the image flickered on the TV. I hope that the band-aid will hold until I can find a 20ft cable that has a more solid construction. Maybe I just got a bad cable, but when it worked, it was great.

Overall, I loved this cable, until it split. I would recommend the cable, but don't hold your hopes up that it lasts very long.

Cable works perfectly fine. Intended to use it to connect my Lenovo Ultrabase to a HDTV. Only problem... is that the Ultrabase only conveys image, no sound, through the Displayport. This is not related to the cable but, to avoid my mistake, I recommend you check your device beforehand.

I bought this to connect my dad's laptop to an HDMI TV. It appears to be very good quality and is a good, thick cable. I don't anticipate any problems in the near future.

The construction is sturdy, and the cord's length is sufficient to place a sizable distance between the input and output devices. What was a little problematic was when connecting from a laptop's DP to a TV's HDMI, the mouse movement on my laptop was slightly jerky, making fine movements quite difficult (although longer-length movements were fine). Besides that, the cord works very well.

I've a 720p LG 32 inch which acts as my extended desktop, and the video quality (through the VGA in) was barely worth the TV and text quality was even worse. With this cable, I've got a remarkable improvement in quality: The video rocks, and I can read text with way better quality than I could have ever hoped for, on a 720p TV screen.

I use this cable to hook my Lenovo/IBM laptop (DisplayPort) to my 52" HDTV (HDMI), which has now become my 52" monitor. Great picture quality. Glad I made the purchase. No regrets.

This is a big, thick, heavy cable (although I have no idea how much is conductor and how much is cladding) that comes ceremoniously packed in an anti-static bag and has plastic covers on the ends.

It works just fine, so what can I say? The DP end has a button that helps to release the cable more easily. The head on that one is a bit large, which might be a concern if your ports are packed tight together, but I had no problems on my Lenovo X220. Not sure if DP is going to be a lasting standard or not, but I needed one, and this one works.
