5.0 out of 5 stars User error, sorry, don't you make the same mistake...
Bought this adaptor, and it plain does not work. I thought it funny that they make a conversion box to go from DVI to VGA and yet they also sell a simple adaptor, no sure how others got this to work.

Product came in 1 day and was as described.

Update:
I figured it out. See this website ([...]), it explains it all, it is my user error. I...

I guess for the low price, I suppose some of these are dead. Very disappointing though. I didn't bother to go through the returns.

Update:
I figured it out. See this website ([...]), it explains it all, it is my user error. I have a DVI-D (D for digital) connection to my monitor, so I need a conversion box to go to VGA (VGA is analog signal). You have to have a DVI-A or DVI-I connection to not need a conversion box.

1.0 out of 5 stars Broken, didn't work. But was too cheep bother sending back, August 11, 2011

It was broken and didn't work. Tested all of the other parts and they worked individually so I figured this thing is to blame. Now I know why it was only $2.95 including shipping. Dump defective products, "sell" them for nothing so you can make your margin in the handling fee. Oh well...

Second take on their adapter...

The connector / converter did not work for me. They sell it as a way to connect older video cards to newer DVI only monitors, but the truth is not as simple as getting things connected. The monitor must also support the analog signals coming from the VGA era card, many new digital monitors do not. Better solution is to buy a cheep card that has a DVI output. Well at least now you know why it's only $2.95...
