I use this USB (Type A to 5 pin mini-B) cable to transfer pictures from my Nikon D50 camera to my computers and also to charge my Motorolla V190 cell phone from a USB port on my laptop computer when I travel (this way I do not need to carry the cell phone charger with me). The cable is light and very strong.
