Product Description

This 7 Port USB 2.0 Hub connects to one USB 2.0 port on a Mac or PC computer, adding seven USB 2.0 ports - allowing you to maximize the number of high speed USB peripherals connected to your computer. The hub supports cascaded installation with other USB 2.0 hubs, supporting up to 127 USB 2.0 device connections - a scalable solution for connecting multiple USB devices to a single host computer. The 7 port hub includes a power adapter, but can be powered through USB bus connection to the host computer - allowing you to install the hub as needed without worrying about the availability of a power outlet.

This hub replaces a D-Link that worked flakey from the start.

As stated above this is your typical Startech quality. It works as it is supposed to with no surprises.

My only gripe is the plastic case is very lightweight and tends to wander on my desk. I think a metal case or even a weighted plastic case would be better.

Other than that I would highly recommend this hub. The price is right and the overall quality is great.

I haven't used this thing yet. Why? Because I CAN'T PLUG IT IN because it has one of those elongated power adapters that you have to plug in SIDEWAYS. If I want to use it, I have to unplug TWO THINGS from my power center. Why do electronics makers do this?

Now I have to find some kind of adapter...for the adapter.

it's not the stylish of designs but it works well for me. the only thing i wish it had were more usb outlets. 7 just isn't enough for all my camera cords.
