After using this for a month the adapter melted and the pins on the sata side are charred. This is NOT a safe way to power a graphics card. I do NOT recommend doing this.

The cable let me turn two satas into an 8 pin connector, that was great. The bad part is the power regulation seemed horribly off. I used this to be the second 8 pin power in a gtx680. As soon as it turned on, the card experienced frame stuttering and other odd issues. After just getting a PSU with 2x 8pins, the problem resolved itself.
